while watching the last @MiamiHEAT game, I saw a poster in the timeout I think and looked at the team's colors
I sat with @FactoryAI @droid and made two shaders: a slow flow of the colors that are folding into each other, and a fire shader, both in the miami heat colors...
the colors are:
#98002E heat red, which is the team's red
#BA0C2F the original heat red from 1988
#F9A01B heat yellow, the team's yellow
#3D0012 a deep red I chose to replace the team's black
Part 2 of designing and writing docs
hardest part so far and this was soooo much harder than it looks lol, how to tell the complex things simply, and in a coherent way and a flow that builds your understanding as you go through it.
how to abstract non obvious things into a good way to explain and visualize...
and made the diagrams interactive so you can follow how events connect. little blobs of light stretch out of one node and melt into the next and into the box in a gooey way
much more detail went into this beyond that too
one of the first things I made playing around
Turned the @droid rotor into two shaders.
One is liquid chrome you can spin and ripple its liquid material. The other is 131k particles that hold the shape until you scatter them and move in many cool ways
Raw WebGL2, runs at 120fps
Very happy to be part of @FactoryAI guild
and excited to see where it and @droid go
if you need anything related to it, lmk
Made it into this apparently
Thank you to the @FactoryAI team
Lets ride
The Factory Guild is open for applications.
The Factory Guild is our highly selective builder program for a small, curated group of students, independent builders, and developer-community members who want to build with Droids, share what they learn, and help shape what comes next.

I built Found, my submission for the @convex All Gas Hackathon, an app for finding accommodation and contacting places you’re interested in.
My own accommodation search gave me the idea, and I got fairly invested in the interaction design and maps integration possibilities.
really liked this apple sports app shader so I tried recreated it in webgl..
it’s basically threads crossing over and under each other.. like an actual piece of fabric.. the raised bits look a little get the light.. that’s what gives it that fabric texture..
and it has gentle folds and that movement to rolling through it (which I didnt quite nail I feel?)

The iPhone Duo software is, unsurprisingly, the best implementation of software on a foldable and obviously won’t know until I use it, but nothing seems even close to matching this and I don’t know if it’s possible for anything to match it
tanstack charts with generative ui it is then
I like it a lot, needs some polish maybe, but works brilliantly
How high is the unemployment rate in Turkey? These guys could sign Madueke and there would be 50 000 fans lined up with flairs

was having a convo about this with some very tech removed friends last week:
Most of the ways that normal people interface with ai is through inhumane amounts of meaningless slop on social media + nothing-burger ai initiatives from their bosses. And when they hear about all the super taxing infrastructure projects we’re taking on and have more ai pushed onto them, they don’t have a good answer for why
meanwhile back on tech twitter it’s enabling us to build some of the best software of our lives (depending on who you ask)
