Indeed, it will be so painful that even our children won't see the end of it; but needs must and this has to be done. The system needs rebuilding from scratch.
A Budget that amounts to pissing into a westerly gale - tinkering around the edges while the British economy burns, with a treasury packed full of economic arsonists.
It is an insult to every taxpayer, every struggling business and every family being bled dry by this rotten economic system. Nothing will change - we continue our uninterrupted plunge into the abyss.
The country is drowning in debt. I don’t know how else to say this…
We are BANKRUPT. We cannot afford any of this. Nothing.
A crushing tax burden remains, small businesses are strangled and as employers we’re punished for creating jobs. For what? To fund millions of scroungers who can’t be arsed to work like the rest of us? Foreigners who turn up and expect housing, benefits, healthcare? When our tax goes up, THAT is what we are funding.
Debt is now THREE TRILLION. We can thank lockdown for a large part of that. But please think about it. Three trillion. The scale is just unimaginable. Yet we get another Chancellor fiddling with the numbers while the country goes up in flames. Billions and billions and billions get added every month. It is GROWING. I don’t know how else to say this.
The people governing us seem absolutely incapable of understanding one basic principle.
Wealth is created by businesses and workers. NOT by politicians spending somebody else's money to win votes. NOT by the state. NOT by the public sector. I detest it.
The British people, working mums and dads, are expected to work longer and harder to fund this corrupt charade - all while giant multinationals shift vast profits out of our country on the back of their work and bloated corporates extract outrageous contract profits from the taxpayer thanks to criminal public sector mismanagement.
I challenge Healey or Burnham. Go and start a business. A cafe, a contractor, a small shop. Try being a sole contractor on the tools. Experience these taxes, the regulation, the stress. Have their families rely on sporadic invoices. Watch their earnings get siphoned off by a corrupt state. Let’s see how they get on.
The system does not need reforming, or conserving - it needs smashing up. We need to rip apart, limb from limb, the failed assumptions that have governed British economic policy for decades.
Cut the waste. Shrink the state. Slash the tax burden. Back small British businesses. Reward work. Restore the incentive to invest, build, employ and succeed. Get millions of healthy Brits OFF benefits. Give people a reason to work. BE UNPOPULAR. If healthy scroungers hate me for taking their benefits off them, good. Get used to it.
It’s all that, on a scale never seen before, or the country will collapse further into a third world hellhole - only this time we’ll get the hyperinflation and total economic catastrophe in addition to the migrants.
I refuse to leave a broken, bankrupt nation to my children and grandchildren.
Restore Britain is offering a route out.
It will be painful, more than anyone realises.
But it is the only way.

JUST IN: The Pentagon has published a remarkable image of China's secretive Shenlong spaceplane in orbit, captured by a Maxar satellite and featured in its newly released 2026 space threat assessment.
The reusable, uncrewed spacecraft launches aboard a rocket and returns to Earth on a runway, similar to the U.S. military's X-37B.
China has conducted four orbital missions since 2020, demonstrating the ability to deploy and maneuver near other objects in space.
The DIA warns that technologies used for satellite inspection and proximity operations could also support anti-satellite capabilities.
China has disclosed few details about the spacecraft's missions or capabilities.
Fascinating view of tomorrow's job market. Moore's law in action. AGI will have vastly changed things by 2028 when high middle class joblessness will be an official figure.
What happens to human jobs when AI can do almost every kind of work? Will this wipeout middle class?
A new paper from Yale economist Pascual Restrepo explores what the economy could look like in a world with AGI.
The central idea is that compute could become more important than human labor as the engine of economic growth.
The paper argues that essential tasks would eventually be automated as AI and computing power improve. Humans might still work, but wages could increasingly depend on how cheaply AI can perform the same tasks.
One surprising conclusion is wages don't necessarily fall to zero, but labor's share of total economic income could approach zero as more income flows to computing resources.
For the middle class, this raises difficult questions about job security, salaries, savings and the value of skills built over decades.
That raises a bigger question what if AI creates most of the wealth, who owns the compute and who benefits from the growth?
This is a theoretical economic model, not a prediction that AGI or full automation is inevitable.
We went from a functioning society to one that makes it difficult to demand excellent quality for the services we pay for. Time to restore logic driven systems for best performance.
It's a particularly confusing day when a luminary like Daniel Hannan is blinded by bias and does not check the veracity of an image on the Internet, especially one that is so farfetched that it would activate one's nonsense detectors by default (Grok can check anything on X, and elsewhere).

How about the robot is looking down while assembling a Swiss watch with one hand and then, without looking up, catches an oblique 100mph baseball with the other hand?
I also like the idea of juggling chainsaws on fire while riding a unicycle.
Harry Kane wins the Ballon d'Or whilst also being a very decent chess player at 1500, in the best fashion of a fellow who does things with fully applied dedication.
Absolute legend/10
Modern warfare.
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

Proprietary models still hold the edge, but open-weight models add more flexibility for deploying AI.

This paper answers why confident idiots run the world.
Cornell University published a psychological paper that explains every terrible boss, every loud influencer, and every broken corporate hierarchy.
It’s called “Unskilled and Unaware of It.”
they tested participants across logic, grammar, and humor to measure the gap between actual performance and self-perception.
And the results are wild.
participants scoring in the bottom 12th percentile consistently believed they were operating in the 62nd percentile.
they were not lying. they were literally incapable of recognizing their own incompetence.
the paper revealed a brutal paradox:
the exact skills required to master a domain are the exact same skills required to accurately evaluate your own competence in that domain.
if you lack the skill, you inherently lack the cognitive capacity to realize you are failing.
this creates a dangerous systemic loop.
the incompetent are blessed with absolute, blinding certainty. their brain protects them from their own ignorance, allowing them to speak first, demand authority, and never second-guess their decisions.
meanwhile, the actual experts suffer the exact inverse.
top performers in the study consistently underestimated their rank. because a task was easy for them, they falsely assumed it was easy for everyone else.
they hesitate. they obsess over nuance. they assume they have nothing unique to add.
we are biologically wired to confuse confidence with competence.
the loudest person in the room gets promoted, gets funded, and gets the microphone, not because they know what they are doing, but because they are physically incapable of seeing what they don't.
the only defense mechanism is building systems that stop rewarding absolute certainty and start demanding proof of work.
Absolutely logical sequence.
This is why you need Sovereign AI. Sovereign Energy. Sovereign Heavy Industry. Massive Capital Markets reform. Planning reform. Protectionism for British jobs. Thatcherism now serves only as a temporary fiscal reset, but without the open market external predatory effects. Once you have a strong fiscal footing you signal to bond markets and foreign investors that you’re once again run by competent people and open for business. Then you can start the necessary borrowing and private FDI capex to fund it all. Lean highly competent statism à la Singapore.
“The night is dark and full of terrors”.
I have, for some time, posited that when China can no longer sustain its economy through internal consumption it will start to project power externally…
All great powers go through 5 stages:
1. Regional consolidation – building internal strength, unity, cohesion.
2. Aggressive ascension – rapid expansion, military and economic,
grabbing territory and influence.
3. Peak maturity – top of the heap, stable global dominance.
4. Overextension – internal decay, too
many commitments, loss of collective will.
5. Decline and collapse – fragmentation, leaving whatever legacy behind.
It’s fractal – applies to nations, alliances, whole civilisations.
The West (US-led Anglosphere and democratic allies) – deep in stage 4, overextension tipping into decline. That post-Cold War unipolar moment has unravelled: societies polarised to breaking point, endless wars we never properly win, addicted to cheap goods from rivals, low quality unchecked immigration weakening the culture and the economy, and no stomach left for real deterrence. We’re appeasing challengers instead of crushing them early.
China (CCP bloc) – squarely in stage 2, full ascension mode. Consolidated internally from Deng through to Xi, turned society into a unified militarised machine, and now expanding hard: Belt and Road debt traps, critical minerals and metals grabs in South America and the CIS via public mining companies to own resource choke points, massive military buildup, IP theft on industrial scale, seizing maritime chokepoints, dehumanising the West in propaganda. Xi’s made it a textbook expansionist empire – wolf warrior diplomacy, domestic repression, territorial claims everywhere.
The world is now naturally splitting into 5 big regional compartments by culture and ideology:
• Western democratic/Christian
• Chinese communist
• Russian orthodox
• Islamic
• Pan-Asian (India probably leading eventually…)
Multipolarity isn’t some happy balanced system. History screams it’s unstable – rising powers always challenge the declining hegemon until a systemic war sorts out who runs the show (Napoleonic wars, WW2, same pattern).
China IMO isn’t angling for peaceful coexistence. They want regional hegemony in Asia-Pacific first – Taiwan is the absolute fulcrum for controlling the First Island Chain, the Western Pacific, and the semiconductor and world’s key man chip manufacturing hub – then global dominance later. Tactics are pure empire playbook.
Aggression still looks imminent. A move on Taiwan could come any time now unless the West deters properly and credibly. That would likely drag in allies and go full WW3 territory fast.
Appeasement and “interdependence” have failed exactly like the 1930s with Hitler. The West has to wake up sharpish: massive rearmament, complete trade decoupling, rock-solid alliances (real Quad-plus, not half-measures), and clean out domestic influences.
If we don’t, China exploits the weakness, secures hegemony, and liberal democracy gets rolled back in a proper clash of civilisations; as things stand it dies.
This decade – the 2020s – is already the decade of maximum danger. Patterns don’t lie. We’re the declining empire unless we rediscover collective will and spine, and fast.
Cold War 2.0 is well underway, except this time the East is ascending and unified while the West is divided and soft. Time to pick a side and mean it.
