Not one to hijack, and since you asked... We are this close to a HUGE overhaul of @TaxReview2Do. Amiright, @Taxsavvyjessica and @DWoods_EA? Exciting stuff.
What is the most UNDERRATED software in the accounting space? Whose your unsung hero?

The Official Rules of Caregiving as established by Mom. Approved by Mom. Subject to change without notice by Mom. - Rule #1: Mom is always right. -Rule #2: When in doubt, refer to Rule #1. -Rule #3: If Mom appears to be wrong, I have clearly misunderstood the situation. See Rule #1. -Rule #4: Suggestions are welcome, provided they match what Mom was already planning to do. -Rule #5: "I'm fine" can mean anything from "I'm fine" to "Call the National Guard." -Rule #6: Mom does not need help. However, you are expected to be available immediately when she needs help. -Rule #7: If Mom can't find something, you moved it. If I find it exactly where she left it, I put it back when she wasn't looking. -Rule #8: Mom's thermostat settings are protected under the Constitution. My comfort is not. -Rule #9: Mom raised me, kept me alive, and knows exactly how to make me feel twelve years old again with a single look. -Rule #10: If all else fails, smile, nod, and consult Rule #1. Because apparently, being a grown-ass adult doesn't mean squat when you are caregiving for your Italian mom. Also, I cannot make any Italian meal as good as she can, and why didn't I learn this better growing up.

Out celebrating my birthday. It’s raining and I’ve missed the rain. Here eating the best dumplings I’ve had in 12 years and loving life w/my hubs of 26 years. No phones, just enjoying the food and the rain together. Life is good. That’s a win @AccountingAsArt

Why do people act like we don’t all have caller ID when they answer the phone? Them: Hi. This is (insert name). Me: Hi back. It’s Richard…but you knew that already.

Are you following the IRS guidelines on CPA fees for work that uses AI. I'm not sure the IRS understands how this works. The @AICPA is seeking more clarity so let's see how this plays out. thetaxadviser.com/news/2026/… – at Rollingwood, TX

Hubby was at the office when he met a new friend today. Fortunately the owner was found on next door within an hour. I feel like this may be a setup for a feathered friend at our house. Our last two cats found him while he was working.

Here’s what I’ve learned about therapy in a nutshell: the people that are in therapy are typically there to learn how to deal with people who should be in therapy. That’s all. That’s my post

iOS 27 is a free software update. It costs $0. It takes 20 minutes to install. It also saves you $300-$400/year if you cancel the paid apps it replaces. Most iOS updates add features. iOS 27 adds features that eliminate subscriptions. The price tracking app you pay $5/month for. The photo editor you pay $10/month for. The translation app you pay $5/month for. The automation builder you pay $6/month for. The password manager you pay $3/month for. The plant identifier you pay $5/month for. The writing assistant you pay $12/month for. Every one of these functions is now built into iOS 27 free, on-device, no subscription, no in-app purchase, no premium tier. A tech consultant who runs subscription audits for clients told his friend: "Your iPhone updated on September 14. Eight days later, you're still paying $31/month for 9 apps that your phone now does for free. You installed the replacement. You're still paying for the original. Because nobody told you that a free software update just killed $372/year in subscriptions sitting on your home screen." She said: "Which apps?" He opened her Settings, her Photos app, her Safari, and her Shortcuts and showed her 9 built-in features that do what her paid apps do. Free. Already installed. Already on her phone since September 14. "Every iOS update is free. This is the first one that pays you back $300-$400/year if you cancel the apps it replaced. Most people won't. Because most people installed the update and never explored what it added. They're paying for apps their phone now does natively because the update didn't announce itself as a subscription killer." Here are the 9 paid apps iOS 27 just replaced 🧵

Who’s ready for Advisory Amplified? Which city did you choose? I’m so ready for the Minneapolis stop on September 29! Introverts: This might be the perfect event for you! Intimate events are my favorite. I feel like I’m able to have real conversations with people. I can catch up with friends and still have time to meet people! To me, the real ROI of attending conferences is connection. Spending time with people in my human operating system fills my cup and making new connections lights me up. Small events feel like a little microcosm of the accounting community where I feel at home, and they give me enough emotional space to focus on the people in front of me. Small events are also much less overwhelming to my introverted accountant soul. Caveat for the introverts among us: it’s hard to hide at a small event, which can feel vulnerable. People will see you. They may approach you and… say words to you. Introverts, let them! Advisory Amplified is intentionally capped at 100 people to preserve the feeling of intimacy and safety. It’s more like a group of friends (and friends of friends) getting together to talk about stuff they’re passionate about. When extroverted introverts like me feel comfortable, we notice the person who looks overwhelmed or like they’re about to bolt. We’ve been there. We’ve stood in the corner holding all our things, planning what we’d say if someone caught us “on the way to the restroom” when we’re obviously not coming back. If this sounds like you, give Advisory Amplified a try. Almost everyone in the room, from Advisory Amplified founder Maddy Reeves to the speakers, hometown hosts, and people you might recognize from social media, knows what it’s like to be nervous in a room full of people they don’t know. They’re down to earth, approachable, and genuinely interested in meeting new people – and that includes you! Think about it. If you come to Minneapolis, let me know. I’ll show you around and introduce you to a few people to get you started, including Hometown Host @AccountingAsArt Mary McDonald, Tax Girl @taxgirl Kelly Phillips Erb, and the amazing @MeganTarnow Megan Genest Tarnow🐝 Don’t forget to pack a knit beanie for a Mary Tyler Moore hat toss! Advisory Amplified comes to Minneapolis on September 29. Coming solo? Use code tori-roadie for 20% off. Bringing two or more people? The 25% team discount applies automatically. Discounts cannot be combined. Register here: lnkd.in/g8bH-qUN @AdvisoryAmplified #AdvisoryAmplified #AdvisoryAmplified2026

I lost my job yesterday. Rent was due. No backup plan. Then I remembered I still had Claude. Asked it: “Analyze every top Polymarket wallet from the last 90 days and build me something” $25 → $4,237 in one night. It scanned 10,000 wallets. Cross-referenced win rates, sizing, timing. Found 7 traders whose edge wasn’t luck. Then built an autonomous agent. Not a script. Not an if-then bot. An agent that reads live news, maps it to markets, detects mispricing, and exploits arbitrage across outcomes. Sizes every position using Kelly. I deployed it at 11:47PM. Closed the laptop. Woke up to: $25 → $4,237 94 trades while I slept. No input. No hesitation. No second-guessing. That’s the game. Information asymmetry at machine speed. Wall Street pays millions for this. I pay $20/month. You only need Claude + laptop + 1 hour/day. Giving This Free for 24 hours. To get it: 1. Comment the word 'AutoPilot' 2. Like and Retweet this post 3. Follow me @tec_marco10 (so i can DM you)
