Also, his face is disfigured, the people around him robbed him and betrayed him, he was replaced by his agent, his background was revealed and used against him, and the girl he slept with claimed he sexually abused her. I prefer the movie's "one bad day" that ruined his life.

one thing i really loved about clayface and matt hagens character overall is that he kept his word on never blaming caitlyn for the consequences of the treatment. theres not an ounce of hate or resentment in his heart for that woman and i think thats so so good

The lack of budget or maybe just time that went into the shapeshifting kinda made me sad tbh. I understand this is the price of having a super low budget movie, but the way Clayface shapeshifts in comics and the cartoon is so unique to him that it’s sorta a letdown that it couldn’t be explored in live action. Though I will admit, the clever use of editing and just blocking a scene did compensate for this- even if just by a little.
