Dear Coaches,
The scoreboard can fool you.
You can win a state championship and lose your marriage.
You can build a powerhouse program and never watch your kids grow up.
You can earn everyone's respect while destroying your own health.
Don't let that happen.
Your priorities should be:
🙏 Faith (or if you're not a person of faith, live with unwavering integrity and character.)
👨👩👧👦 Family. Your team is important, but it is NOT your family. Your spouse and children will still be there long after the final whistle.
💪 Health. Mental and physical. Eat well. Sleep. Exercise. A trophy isn't worth your well-being.
Winning is a great goal. But don't sacrifice what matters most to achieve it.
"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" — Mark 8:36
Whether you're a person of faith or an atheist, the principle remains the same:
Don't lose your life chasing your legacy.
