I got to work with Ernie from 2009-2018. He always went out of his way to shout out producers and people behind the scenes. You won’t find a kinder person in the industry. We’re thrilled to have him on Yahoo Sports Daily next week to discuss “32 Bowties.”

Here’s another clip of a woman reading Trump’s words verbatim from a recent rally in Mississippi that puts a giant magnifying glass over how gone he is cognitively and unfit he is for office.

In 1992, Paul Verhoeven asked Sharon Stone to take off her underwear for Basic Instinct. He promised the camera would not see anything. They were shooting the famous interrogation scene. Verhoeven told her the white cotton was reflecting the studio lights. He guaranteed nothing would be visible on screen. Stone trusted him. Months later, she sat in a screening room watching the final cut. The scene played. She realized she was completely exposed. She walked straight up to Verhoeven and slapped him across the face. But Verhoeven tells a different story. He claims Stone knew exactly what she was doing. According to him, she watched the playback on the monitor immediately after the shot. He says her outrage months later was pure panic, fueled by agents who told her the scene would ruin her career. Stone called her lawyer. Under Screen Actors Guild rules, she had the legal power to force the studio to cut the shot. In the end, she let it stay. She admitted it was exactly what the character would do. The consequences were a mix of massive success and a hidden trap. Financially, Basic Instinct grossed over $350 million worldwide. Stone was paid a flat fee of $500,000. Since she was not a proven star before filming, her contract had no backend points. The studio made hundreds of millions off that single shot. She saw zero extra dollars from the box office. Career-wise, the scene made her a global superstar, but it boxed her in. For the next decade, Hollywood only wanted her to play the cold seductress. She had to fight aggressively to prove she was a serious dramatic actress. That struggle eventually led to her Oscar-nominated role in Casino, which finally allowed her to command $5 to $7 million per film. As for the director, the broken trust was permanent. Stone and Verhoeven never worked together again.

Neil deGrasse Tyson explains to Shannon Sharpe why conspiracy theorists mistakenly point to the absence of stars in moon photographs.  Shannon Sharpe asks Neil deGrasse Tyson if the moon landing can be proven.  Neil deGrasse Tyson explains that a friend questioned why photos from the moon lack visible stars, failing to understand photographic exposure.  Neil deGrasse Tyson tells Shannon Sharpe he gave that friend a website featuring lunar reconnaissance photos showing rover tracks, but the friend dismissed it because of a NASA logo.  Neil deGrasse Tyson jokes with Shannon Sharpe about a hypothetical scenario where Hollywood producers suggested shooting a fake moon landing "on location".

To my friend, this is not the way. You are damaging your reputation, your credibility, and your future. Life will always bring disagreements, disappointments, setbacks, and anguish. But it is how we respond to those moments that reveals our character and defines our legacy. Pain may explain our actions, but it does not excuse them. And disappointment should never become a license to destroy everything we’ve worked so hard to build. Your actions have the potential to harm folks for generations. Sometimes you have to reflect and simply step back. But I will tell you this: Trump, MAGA, and Mike Rogers are never the answer.
I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.

You all can play dumb if you want to. They know that as long as they sell the narrative that Black and brown people are the ones committing fraud, that will make it easier to convince low-income white people — who are the largest recipients of these services — to vote against their own interests. It also generally encourages people to see these services only as tools of abuse and fraud. The meme wouldn’t be as effective if they used Brett Favre’s photo, would it?
