When I'm not busy being a responsible husband and father, I'm a horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and comic fan, a retro video game player, and a writer.

Finally caught #TheBabadook and it makes me wish I was still an active #horror blogger. So many things to analyze in this intelligent flick.

Since #nintendo won't give us some new #Metroid, tomorrow's release of #AxiomVerge is one of my biggest game releases this year. Can't wait!
What a surprise. The first game to make owning an #XboxOne worthwhile is a $20 download title. #OriAndTheBlindForest Metroidvania lives!

Everyone should stand on a street corner in a suit today in honor of the 40th anniversary of Kiss's DRESSED TO KILL.

#SEGA producer Steven Frost's claim that single-player #Sonic games can't work anymore is way off. Make a good one and people will play it.
Another reason to prefer #retrogaming - My old #SNES and #nes don't require system updates just to perform their most basic functions.

RIP #TerryPratchett Even though Rincewind may have cast his final spell, the Discworld will live on forever.
#Batman #ArkhamKnight getting a mature rating really makes me miss the days of this #NES classic:

#whatisretrovgs ? A brand new #videogame system that promises to bring back cartridges for new games, making collecting new games fun again.
@JoeBarlowWrites I was wondering if this would fit the decor of your living room?

Just finished Jonathan Maberry's ROT & RUIN. It's an enjoyable #zombie novel with excellent characters. #horror

Playing some #N64 today and thinking somebody should remake GLOVER. With usable controls, this game could be great.

To #phillies management, there's a difference between setting low expectations and convincing fans to tune out. You're doing the latter.
Dear #Phillies veterans, stop complaining daily about wanting to be traded and focus on honoring your contract and helping the team.
Dear #phillies management, please stop complaining about your aging veterans in the media daily. You signed them!
Fox ordering a #Lucifer pilot seems like folly, especially in light of how a similarly unique comic property (#Constantine) failed this year
