Have you seen our reel with @NicholasTHFarr on how we're preventing another vaginal mesh scandal yet?
We’re grateful to researchers like Nicholas Farr at Sheffield University helping to make medical devices safer for patients. #mesh
Fantastic to see that our most recent article has received significant coverage today from mainstream news sources, including @itvnews, @MailOnline, and @Independent.
A huge thank you to all my colleagues for their contributions to this study. 👍

Excellent to see that our clinical outlook article has today been published in @NatRevUrol. As we develop more advanced medical devices, it's crucial that our pre-clinical testing follows the same trajectory. ⬇️

📄🚨 Our latest paper uncovers the role of Macrophages to alter PP mesh surfaces. In turn as surface degradation occurs, macrophages modify gene expression, leading to a mixed response with upregulated pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic markers. @insigneo

New publication update!🚨Amidst the holiday festivities we celebrated the release of our most recent study:
🌐 doi.org/10.1002/advs.2023065…
Many thanks to all the co-authors who contributed to this study. Here’s to more discoveries, collaboration, and growth in the upcoming year.
My most recent publication is now available open access to all! ✅
This study investigates the application of plasma modification for surgical mesh, showing the potential to mediate craze formation and susceptibility to mechano-chemical stress. ⤵️

Does the quality of your FIB etching keep you up at night? 🤔
Check out our recent paper for an effective monitoring method! 👍
Many thanks to Maciej (ExxonMobil/Uni of Antwerp) and Alex (NYSBC) for their valuable contributions. 🤝

Really proud to have collaborated on "The Secrets of Size: Going Small" which will premiere this evening on BBC4 at 9pm. Radio Times have called it 'stunning' and having seen some of the imagery it contains I would absolutely agree. @msesheffield #AcademicTwitter
I am pleased to share my new paper. This study presents an enhanced biomaterial characterisation methodology, which can be implemented to allow for greater quality assurance in the development of future biomaterials. @insigneo @Materials_mdpi @msesheffield
