British Transport Police are seeking a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a woman travelling by train from Birmingham to Derby.
The incident took place on the morning of 21st September, shortly after 9am. According to investigators, a man sat beside the woman, made repeated comments about her appearance, and then allegedly assaulted her before leaving the train at Derby station.
Officers have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to question, describing him as potentially able to assist with the inquiry. Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 76 of 22 September.
Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
