A Steam pricing analyst says she was actually thinking: “Oh god, please price it higher” when Hollow Knight: Silksong launched at just $19.99. Pricing specialist Cassia Curran argues that the game offers so much content and quality for $20 that it could make things harder for other indie developers trying to charge $25–$30. “I was a bit like, ‘Oh god, please price it higher.’” She believes $24.99 could have been a better price point for the wider indie market. Silksong might accidentally make gamers expect huge, high-quality indie games to stay cheap.

I read a book several years ago by @jasonschreier called "Blood, Sweat and Pixels" (highly recommended) that detailed the development of Dragon Age Inquisition and the tensions between BioWare and EA post-acquisition. Probably pretty informative in understanding how we got here

The way Keaschall finished is one of the most exciting things about the Twins to me right now. In addition to batting .300+ with a sky-high OBP, he started adding legit power and finally found a defensive home in RF. That's not just the makings of a team MVP, but league MVP.
