Iโm in Edinburgh and being asked a lot of questions about ITVโs Reform expose.
The reported comments show yet again why weโre not doing deals with Reform. We want Reform voters back, not Reform politicians.
Reform voters are being let down by the people who claim to represent them. Many of these people were the ones who let them down in the Conservative Party. We are now under new management.
These people caused a lot of problems and is why I say Nigel Farage has been doing my spring cleaning.
These problems will keep coming for Reform. Just as Farage is being investigated, so is Robert Jenrick, and so is Richard Tice. These problems will never end because of the kind of people they are - they donโt care about high standards of conduct.
That is why I am showing those voters who want to defeat Labour but left the Conservative Party that itโs time to come home. We are under new management, and you deserve better than this.

Last week I called Andy Burnham's speech consequential, but it was very much full, as Ed Davey said, full of 'definitely maybes' by 2040. @KemiBadenoch delivered a belter of a speech today, full of sparkle, but also setting out basic Conservative principles and full of policy meat. The IHT promise will get the headlines but there was far more to it than that. The stuff about the Reform "weirdos" and ruling our reuniting the right should get attention, plus the passage on her ethnicity and what it means to be English, where she absolutely socked it to Suella Braverman without naming her. The passage on how to bring about growth was especially strong. I've been attending party conferences for 40 years. This one got off to a slow start, but ended with the party members going home with a spring in their step. Rarely, if ever, in those 40 years, have I seen a party so united behind its leader - both MPs and party members. And to achieve that within less than two years of becoming leader is quite an achievement. Yes, last year's conference speech was a turning point, but so was her firing of Robert Jenrick. With one decisive step, she ripped out the cancer, and has never looked back. It's now up to her shadow cabinet to demonstrate that this isn't a one woman party.

Zoe Hollowood is incredibly brave to challenge her party in this way. I know what itโs like to state biological sex is real and be attacked for speaking common sense and telling the truth. She is not on my side of the political spectrum, but courage calls to courage everywhere.
Zoe should be supported in trying to get the Lib Dems to stop being silly, follow the law and respect the supreme court judgement.
Yesterday our chair @hollowood_zoe asked @LibDems conference in a trans debate:
"In 2026, are women allowed rights?
Rights to dignity.
Rights to safety.
Rights to say no."
Conference resoundingly voted 'no' thus deciding that women were second class citizens. ๐งต

The Labour government cut Wandsworth Councilโs budget by 40%.
It speaks volumes that Andy Burnham is happy to slash the funding for Conservative-run councils, but wonโt touch the bloated welfare bill.

Reform are about to learn the lesson of the law of diminishing returns.
In 2020, Michael Bloomberg spent $1 billion employing 2,400 staff and saturating coverage on his Presidential campaign. It came to nothing.
Money is an accelerant, not a cure. If the fundamentals are good, it improves things. If theyโre bad, things will get a whole lot worse.
You can buy staff and advertising, but you canโt buy judgement or integrity.
Sometimes a bigger cheque just means you make more of the same mistakes.
The Conservatives are up for the fight.
We are raising millions, attracting new donors and winning back old ones because people can see what is coming.
Britain does not need another protest party. It needs common sense, a serious plan and a party capable of bringing the country together.
That is who we are.
And it is what Reform will never be.

Somerset Council became a Unitary Authority under the last Conservative government.
That meant it was done with discussion, debate and compromise but with a carefully-drafted business case to make it work.
Now as it happens it all unravelled pretty fast because the Lib Demโs, who had opposed it, were voted in as the administration, didnโt know what to do, didnโt work with our ongoing Cllrs who had the vision and the plan and it has not been the success it should have been. Theyโve been disastrous for Somerset in fact.
Then look at Labourโs bull-in-a-china-shop approach to this which has been so messy, so unnecessarily disruptive and has, in combination with their punitive removals of funding and support, left authorities up and down the country in turmoil.
I get that there are people who are still not ready to accept that the Conservatives have changed and still need convincing that we will be better for Britain but this is another example of how the Conservatives make plans, think through the difficulties and recognise that just saying youโll do it isnโt enough.
