"The drive to war can only lead to cuts in public services" @Micaelatr_2 at Liverpool rally of the international movement against war on tour @STWuk
You see, this is partly why young workers don’t join trade unions. One little push and over they go. Time for new unions?
Labour is backtracking on ending the minimum wage youth rate and the TUC is giving them cover. There is no intention to abolish it. Another manifesto commitment being abandoned like "day one" rights for all workers leftfootforward.org/2026/03/…

Tomorrow, Saturday, in Salford, Greater Manchester, Winning at Work - hear trade union speakers on key topics impacting people at work. Working Class Movement Library, near Salford University. @unisontheunion @unitetheunion @ucu @PartitoMcr @cgilnazionale
91% of UCU members who voted at INTO Manchester backed entering a formal dispute over pay and workloads.
Despite making almost £9m in profit last year, management has frozen pay and cut almost half of teaching posts in two years.
UCU and @unisontheunion members are demanding fair pay and manageable workloads.
