An homage to the original 1904 novel, "Green Mansions", Rima encounters strangers moving through her jungle, but their skin, even paler than hers, catches her attention. Went out this afternoon to vote and then decided, since I was going out, I should go to a coffeehouse and do some writing. Dragged the Quirkywriter along with me. It was a hit with several of the patrons and still managed to get roughly 3000 words added to a story, so win-win.

It's that time of year again. Broke out the hot water heater, visited the local tea shoppe, and brewed the first hot tea of the fall season. Time to get serious with the writing.

I love working with artists. Book cover, interior art, it always amazes me what they come up with to entice people to buy my books. I'll always use a real-life artist for any books I package.

Notes from a con: first time I’ve ever had someone tell me they “only read female authors.” Mind you, that’s their right, but still not a phrase I’d ever encountered in my 33 years as a vendor at a show.

Getting ready to head out for @frightreads, happening at the Howard County Fair Grounds. Had a great time there last year and hoping for a good show this Sat/Sun. I'll be at Annex Table 52 for anyone attending. Getting to the end of con season. Let's go out with a bang.

Spent the afternoon repairing my web site. Apparently, some of the images from the site were not in my media center, so I had to reload, or in a few cases re-find , the images. Not how I hoped to use my time, but I’m glad I have it done.
