Some models looking potentially very damp through north & eastern Wheatbelt + southern pastoral, with some areas looking at >100mm, some maybe close to 150mm+ for 4-day rainfall totals (most Monday/Tuesday), right through to 35-50mm+ in Esperance region out of TC-Mitchell.

Nice to see people investing in high-performance catchments with lined dams…max water quantity plus quality.
In Eyre Peninsular SA after long dry season talking desalination & looking at unconventional water sources. Seen several plastic sheeted catchments -2ha with 10 ML dams $100-200k built by #WaterSmart farmers @NikCallow

#smartdams water testing….no good just having 💦, quality matters a LOT and makes up 99%+ of what goes in and out of a spray tank. Team effort this week between @CWSS_UWA and FBG. WaterSmart Dams project with the @GGA_WA and Future Drought Fund

What a great article by @SEPWA_ag , a great example of what water security looks like: catchments that fill dams and work in low rainfall, use every last drop off sheds, invest in large tanks, interconnection around the farm.
Scott Wandel is improving water storage and operational efficiency on his farm, with the aim to have the capacity to store 10 million litres in roofed tanks strategically located across his property. Read this and more in the the SEPWA Spring Newsletter - sepwa.org.au/newsletter-spri…
