The legendary voice behind Homer Simpson, Dan Castellaneta, Celebrates 69 Years! 🍩🎙️ Castellaneta has helped define television animation for decades through Homer Simpson, but Springfield is home to only a fraction of his characters. On The Simpsons alone, he also voices Krusty the Clown, Grampa Simpson, Barney Gumble, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Quimby, Sideshow Mel, and Kodos. Beyond the series, his unmistakable range includes Genie in Aladdin: The Series, Grandpa Phil in Hey Arnold!, Earthworm Jim, and the Robot Devil in Futurama. Some of his most notable voice roles include: • Homer Simpson (The Simpsons / The Simpsons Movie) • Krusty the Clown (The Simpsons) • Genie (The Return of Jafar / Aladdin: The Series) • Abraham “Grampa” Simpson (The Simpsons) • Grandpa Phil Shortman (Hey Arnold!) • Earthworm Jim (Earthworm Jim) • Robot Devil (Futurama) • Megavolt / Elmo Sputterspark (Darkwing Duck) • Barney Gumble (The Simpsons) • Groundskeeper Willie (The Simpsons) • Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown (Back to the Future: The Animated Series) • Mayor Joe Quimby (The Simpsons) • Sideshow Mel (The Simpsons) • Kodos (The Simpsons) • Arnold Wesker / The Ventriloquist and Scarface (The Batman) • Thing One and Thing Two (The Cat in the Hat) • The Postman (Olive, the Other Reindeer) • Mister Thickley (Taz-Mania) • Flux Wildly (Toonstruck) • Alan Frakesh (The Pursuit of Happyness) What makes Castellaneta’s work extraordinary is how easily he can fill an entire animated world with voices that remain instantly distinguishable, from Homer’s lovable chaos to the theatrical Robot Devil and the warmhearted Grandpa Phil. At 69, Dan Castellaneta remains one of animation’s defining performers, with Homer Simpson at the center of a voice career that has shaped generations of television and cartoon fans. 🎂🎙️
