Milena Anfosso's 2020 examination of Bryges and Phryges argues against explaining every variant with a single simple sound change. She proposes a reconstructed Bʰrug- group for some forms and a possible Wreg/k- group for others, including a potential Phrygian endonym vrekes.

Frisians are not related to Phrugians.
Frisians (Frisii): The endonym/exonym for the Frisians stems from a Proto-Germanic root *frisaz interpreted as meaning "curly-haired" or referencing coastal meadows/estuaries.
Phrygians (Φρύγες): Anatolians known in the Bromze age as the Bryges (Βρύγες).
They don’t even sound similar and are ethnically different and speak completely different languages.
Do you not know that Phyrgia in Greek is pronounced Froo-Gia. Not Frigia.
You are just a weird obsessed tweaker who I don’t even spend a second reading, so take this as a rare exception.

Ancient DNA from Epipaleolithic France was released recently in the last few months but went under my radar till today. Here's a run down of it. Has anyone looked at the DNA files themselves ??
Had to handle some personal issues so there was a slight delay. Enjoy @BAJRjobs

About to fly.
However what period of Phrygia are you connecting with what period of Frisia.
When are they respectively called these names, and what were they before?
Plus, this is kinda funny tbh.

Plato actually gives you a clue that “Atlantis” is not necessarily the preserved native name of some island. In Critias 113a–b, he explicitly warns that the names in the story have been translated into Greek according to their meanings: the Egyptians translated the original names into Egyptian, and Solon then rendered their meanings into Greek.
Helps to read it first.
Can't tell if she's a plant or not, this shit seems scripted as fuck.
She's either insanely delusional (could be)
Or has zero concept of the things she's talking about, and only learned them in "bible school".
The entire historical picture of the North Sea sphere is wrong for the Bronze Age.
The caste system is egalitarianism/community based.
Frisian = Merchant
Fir Bolg = Miner
Viking = Raider
Notice how they're all profession based?
All have shit in common with Thrace.

Since Herodotus is never wrong.
Of the Thracians he says that living by war and raiding is the most honored occupation, and immediately afterward says they worship Ares, Dionysus and Artemis. (boy does that fucking sound familiar)
“Ares” here is Greek religious translation, so the important datum is that Greek observers are encountering a Thracian martial cult complex and putting ARES over it.

Now move northwest into the Celtic sphere and there is a really useful comparison: the Gaesatae. Their name is generally derived from Celtic gaisos, “spear/javelin,” hence roughly “spearmen.” They were mobile Gallic warrior/mercenary groups rather than a straightforward territorial ethnic population.

Weapon plus warrior specialization plus war-band name plus outsiders treating it almost ethnically.
And then Germani enters the record in exactly the messy Celtic/Rhine interface where you'd expect that mechanism to operate.
Gaulish/Celtic route: gairm/garman → shout, cry, battle-cry → something approaching “the shouters.”
Germanic reinterpretation/route: ger/gar → spear + mann → “spear-men.”
Neither is established as the definitive etymology, but both independently land in the same semantic territory.
A specialist study by Alexander Tscherniak goes further and argues that Celts used Germani for Germanic-speaking mercenaries from beyond the Rhine and that Tacitus' source may preserve awareness of Germani as an old war-cry.
bop.unibe.ch/Hyperboreus/art…
And Tacitus himself gives us the most important clue about why the name spread.
He says Germania was a recent name; the people now called Tungri had formerly been called Germani, and the name spread from this victorious group to others “ob metum”, through/in order to create fear.
In other words:
One victorious Rhine-crossing group acquired/had this name, the name carried military prestige/terror, it expanded into a much larger category.
Explain why there's a Germanic dot on Tyre.
