During my initial term as Onondaga County Legislator of the 17th District, I had the privilege of serving as Minority Floor Leader, a role that empowered me to drive positive change. My granddaughter is proudly reading her grandmother's name on the door.
Today I stood against Violence with Syracuse Snug during their Peace Walk. 4 youth were shot this past Sunday. My heart goes out to the mothers.
As elected officials, we must maintain accountability among ourselves. That was an unjust detainment. Parents have an inherent right to be engaged in their children's lives and informed of notable events, including instances of law enforcement detention.
