You might have experienced missing images in articles. This should now be fixed! There were some expired certificates, mostly the widely used let's encrypt root certificate. Their workaround does work with browsers but not with OpenSSL on our server. openssl.org/blog/blog/2021/0…

At first there was a web app, but then found out the hard way that apple does not allow playing audio in the background that way. In the browser - yes, in a browser in a web app - no! So this was the reason for starting an iOS app. Still not convinced of the app store... 1/🧵

Of course you can also use our deduplication on Twitter RSS feeds - helps clean the feed from retweets of the same article but also to group news by topic. Like in this case with the AP twitter feed.

Long overdue (🙊) app #update: When reading your feed you get notified of new content - an orange button appears at the bottom that you can use to refresh the page.🔄 Especially useful on the mobile view, where the sidebar with unread badges is hidden. #newsreader
