Blake Cashman won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his all-world performance against the Colts. Five different #Vikings players have won Special Teams or Defensive Player of the Week honors in their past five games. Not bad for frauds!

Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

According to Packer fans, only two results can occur in a Packer game: Packers win, or refs screwed Green Bay.

#Packers C Sean Rhyan, who left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain, sources say. X-Rays were negative, and he has an MRI today. But high-ankle sprains are often 4-6 week injuries.

Ex-#Titans DT Jordan Elliott went to his car to retrieve his gun after a practice altercation with OT JC Latham last Thursday (Oct. 15). After being told to leave the field, Elliott took off his pads and stormed out of the facility, then went to the players' lot. Security cameras captured the sequence. Veteran DL John Franklin-Myers talked him down, and no one was hurt. The Titans released Elliott on Tuesday after reviewing the incident. He signed a 2-year, $8M deal this offseason. News of the incident was first reported by @eastonfreeze and additional details provided by @AaronWilson_NFL.
The #Titans have released DT Jordan Elliott following an incident at the team facility on Thursday, Oct. 15. The team reviewed the incident and says it will have no further comment. Elliott, who has 65 career starts, appeared in five games this season for Tennessee.

The NFLPA calls for a full investigation
Statement from the @NFLPA: “The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”

Kevin Seifert asked Brian Flores during his media availability about the language in the released Korn Ferry document that broke him down as a HC candidate. Flores declined to answer the question, preferring to use the podium to talk about the players.

Tremendous article on the mastermind behind the NFL’s most fun defense to watch (unless, God help you, you have to face it).
Brian Flores is on a heater that has propelled the @Vikings to a 5-0 start. The secret: Player empowerment. My story for @TheAthletic nytimes.com/athletic/7705340…

“Actually, he got to take a nap in a little makeshift bed we threw together in the stadium before we put him on the field” this isn’t even good spin
Replying to @TomPelissero
Just spoke to Jalen Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, who clarified that while Hurts was up until early Sunday morning getting evaluated at a hospital, he was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium. Videos from the stadium show Hurts coming onto the field just before kickoff and he felt rested enough to play.

Having your quarterback play football after not sleeping for 36 hours following a blood clot diagnose should be one of the largest lawsuits the NFL has ever seen. Everyone involved in that decision should be fired.
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London. Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars. (per @TomPelissero)

Tom Pelissero, the source cited, later clarified after speaking to Jalen Hurts' agent that Hurts was able to sleep after hospital evaluation and felt rested to play. x.com/TomPelissero/s… cbssports.com/nfl/news/jalen… sportingnews.com/us/nfl/philade…
