While Walter Murch’s ‘Rule of Six’ has merits (and worth considering) it is, merely, an opinion. There should be no ‘rules’ in editing (or filming). Not following anyone’s ‘rule’ is what can set a film apart from ‘me-too’s’ (and 28 awards for a film is proof enough). #editing
