I'm incredibly honored to be named a Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic athlete. This recognition means even more because of everything it took to get here. During the fall of my senior year, I had an ischemic stroke caused by a PFO and underwent a heart procedure in January. Returning to the field wasn't just about playing again, I was determined to compete at the level I knew I was capable of. I'm so grateful for this season because it taught me lessons about perseverance and resilience, that I'll carry with me beyond the softball field as I begin my next chapter at Christopher Newport University this fall. Thank you to my family, teammates, coaches, trainers, doctors, and everyone who supported me along the way #GoCaptains @NFHS_Org
