Aside from his interception, Drake Maye has read the defense remarkably well tonight. On the turnover, he gambled that the linebacker would keep his back turned so he could drop the ball in behind him, but he ended up throwing a meatball instead. Otherwise, he has navigated the pocket effectively and stayed disciplined with his checkdowns, which honestly isn’t much of his game. After a rough start to the season, his play tonight and over the past few weeks has been genuinely impressive.
