War Mode might solve the entire ruleset debate
If we had war mode in WoW Forever, the entire player base could be on the same 'server' and players with war mode enabled would be layered together in the open world.
Im struggling to see any down sides here. Thoughts?

How have they not announced the plan for the Classic and Anniversary forks?
I don't see any reason why they would leave both of these communities in limbo without a plan for the characters we've spent years playing.
MoP Classic characters should get merged into the retail fork and that timeline should be crimped imo but i would love to hear other suggestions.
Anniversary fork(currently in phase 4 of BC) should get WOTLK expansion announced for spring of 2027 and also introduce an Era TBC server.
This would allow for a split content cadence between Anniversary and WoW Forever as it continues through WOTLK. It would appease the Era community and provide more content for that player base. Blizzard could generate revenue from character boosts for the TBC Era fork and also the WOTLK Anniversary fork.
This could potentially fracture the player base off of their primary Forever fork and i understand that concern. But I think the more content for us to play with our subs, the better and this seems like an easy win for Blizzard.
Does WoW Forever need to encourage more world PvP?
If the only PvP system exists inside of instanced battlegrounds, I think we have a parallel issue to the dungeon spam problem. All end game PvP will happen in bgs with people just standing around in cities waiting for queue. In and out of bgs just chillin in the city.
I think a New World type of system where factions/guilds have to fight over contested territories on timers with a rank/rated system for this mechanism would be incredible for this new world.
