[New Paleoart] Mid day in a calm water body in Late Triassic Algarve, Portugal. Semionotid fish forage for food. Suddenly a cloud of sand lunges upwards. In a flash, blood covers the area. The Metoposaurus algarvensis has finally satiated it's hunger.

Introducing a new fossil amphibian species! 🦎🦴 Reviewing remains from Arén (Huesca, Spain), we described 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘻𝘢𝘯𝘢, a tiny albanerpetontid that lived in Ribagorza right before the dinosaur extinction. Huge congrats to Alex for leading It!

#MasterPaleoartAppreciationPost #PaleoAgainstAI Brian Engh's works show that scientific rigour and artistic speculation are equally important for paleoart. The educated and creative restoration of anatomy, movement, behaviour and ecology is something AI CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT DO.

Here is a section of another of my murals for the The Schiele Museum of Natural History. This one corresponds to the Late Triassic Chinle Formation in the USA. Shown here are Typothorax, Redondasaurus, Postosuchus and an undetermined small cynodont.

Here are two pieces I commissioned from @astrapionte that I REALLY STUPIDLY forgot to put in the first video, but managed to edit into the spec-evo cut. And one I had done by @NotPedroAndrade probably 2 years ago? maybe more like 1?

Really cool name... But not even a comparison with the also Barremian Cariocecus? It has a lot of overlapping material! Seriously? 🙄 I sometimes think that English paleontologist ignore a little bit things outside Britain...

🚨NEW ATROCITY ALERT🚨 Apparently, the holotype of one of the most complete megalosaurs, Dubreuillosaurus, has been randomly put up for auction! We could easily lose this scientifically important AND published specimen forever for no good reason! millon.com/actualites/un-din…

Another Schiele Museum mural requiring an extreme vertical composition corresponded to the Jurassic Lourinha formation in Portugal. This section shows how I had to arrange the animals bringing them close enough to show detail but leaving some "breathing room" #fossilfriday

In 2025 i had the opportunity to create a 5 meter-long panel for the Museu Municipal do Cadaval. This panel aimed to illustrate all fossils on display at the museum, in their reconstructed habitat, with addition of other contemporary animals found nearby in Portugal.

Proud to present my lifesize T. rex head, affectionately named Hannibal. I created this myself from start to finish- digital sculpture, 3D printing, painting, etc. Quite a learning curve involved but very pleased with how he turned out.

Something they didn't mention during the showcase. No more character vouchers. I called this during Stories 3, but I didn't expect them to actually implement it in Wilds HUGE W.
