Future me is demanding. Past me is selfish. Current me is doing everything and wondering when the other two will cut each other some slack.

I just wanted to add something to my basket for my next delivery so I don't forget it :( @Tesco from an accessibility perspective blocking standard shopping during the wait time is horrible.

Hi @DrJenGunter I came across a claim that acids (including citric acid) impact absorption of ADHD medication. The cited source isn't one I've heard of. I can't find any evidence either way and I just wondered if you knew of any/anyone who might be able to confirm/deny it? 1/2

The more I hear from the Covid enquiry, the more I think that the PM and the majority of ministers did not have the intellectual tools necessary to understand scientific advice and therefore to be able to weigh it successfully alongside economics, social science etc. In my view this can be traced to educational failure - they weren’t taught or didn’t learn the basics of science alongside their chosen disciplines. This also applies the other way round to scientists of course. Breadth of knowledge is key, as well as specialisation / expertise, and I don’t think our system delivered that in the 80s and 90s when I (and they) went to University - whether it does that today is an open question. I think we need to be producing more polymaths.

Name and shame!
Red flags from visits to secondary schools 'Well, if his EHCP says he needs 1:1 support then we'd legally have to do it, but we'd prefer not to' 'We find that all autistic children benefit from strict behaviour rules, so we don't adapt them'

Are you the ADHDer that packs for a trip a few days in advance or the ADHDer that leaves packing up until the day before for the trip?

Charger choice in order: - the one that’s working - the one that’s free - the one that’s cheapest
If these public chargers are all in the same parking lot, with the same power level, which are you plugging into?

Obviously it's bad PR for Rishi Sunak not to be wearing a seatbelt, however I would have thought the chances of his chauffeur driven car, with police motorcycle escort, and a covering lead security car, having a head on collison with another vehicle, would be be pretty much zero.

I wrote about this trend of sharing dishonest toilet photos last year for @trans_safety. transsafety.network/posts/to… They're literally been doing this for 4+ years now.

Some objections to this photo- obviously there is colonial baggage but that does not mean it would be wrong in any context. My Da got his shoes fixed and shined by aunties and uncles working the street this way, as do I. It's an obligation to give work to those that need it.

new Deep Learning benchmark: your model doesn't have to be perfect but it does have to be better, cheaper, and more carbon efficient than a pigeon!
