Yeah and all of us Vikings fans were begging KOC to run the ball and simplify the offense for a young quarterback. He finally did that the last 5 games last year and they started winning. Then he got rid of him for the shortest player in the league

I don’t rep anybody. I don’t even like Boston lmao
It’s not hard to see how this movie plays out though.

You rep a guy who works in entertainment but hates PR. I don’t think I’m the one flying blind here
They traded a top 10 player when they had absolutely no reason to do it.
If you don’t think he has to outperform Jaylen for the rest of their careers, you don’t understand how this business works.

him outplaying JB is one thing, it is another thing entirely if you actually acknowledge it if he does, which may very well not be the case. Check your delusion
You don’t know how this business works. Have a blessed day.

I’m sorry you think I give a fuck

Not how it works. The East was trash last year, this year’s Celtics aren’t playing the same teams. Detroit finally with experience, AD/Trey back for Washington, Philly with Bron and JB himself, you got the Heat with Giannis, and Kawhi back at the 6ix. JT’s defo outplaying him tho
He struggled in Minnesota because he has never been a QB that just dropped back and dissected defenses.
The Giants ran 34x which simplifies a lot of the coverages you see on the back end. That’s much more like what he did at Michigan.
Part of me wonders if JJ McCarthy struggled in Minnesota partly because KOC was too focused on fixing his throwing mechanics.
It felt like every conversation about JJ came back to his footwork, throwing motion, or how he threw the ball too hard.
It reminds me of golf. Imagine standing over a shot thinking about five different swing thoughts. Those things matter in practice, but during a round? You’re just getting in your own head instead of playing.
The “throws too hard” criticism always struck me as odd too. NFL receivers have been catching rockets off JUGS machines forever. Obviously touch and trajectory matter, but I wonder if all this emphasis became another thing JJ was consciously trying to manage during games instead of just playing football.
I’m not saying his mechanics weren’t an issue. I’m wondering whether the constant focus on them became an issue of its own.
It’s a tiny sample size in New York, but I have a hard time believing a change of scenery alone explains how different he’s looked.
At what point does coaching a player’s mechanics start getting in the way of their ability to actually play?
I love Maxey but they have to get more from him facilitating than this if they want to be in the championship hunt.
A roster with 5 stars needs more ball movement than this.
They put a 3rd overall pick on the bench for Marcus Smart. Think about what you’re saying out loud.
He literally went back to the bench in the 18-19 season. He only started 25 games out of 74. You can Google this in seconds.
