For years people have been making post about some new EV being the “Tesla killer” but I think maybe Tesla is the “Tesla Killer”

Just dropped a video of todays EV antics. I saw the Ghostbusters Rivian R1S and my first Cybercab. NYC meat packing district has all three American EV companies, so I also stopped in on Lucid and Tesla.

Ignoring warnings is easy when we get so many nowadays. For people outside the nerd bubble who don't follow every update, this was bound to happen. These cars couldn't do this before. I bet this came as quite a shock to an unsuspecting customer.
First video of a driver (accidentally) using the new emergency drive away feature.
Pretty wild to watch this guy dismiss all the warnings and prompts... Curious how much damage was done to the car and charger.

I have been thinking about miles/kWh in EVs based on cargo space lately. Lucid Gravity has been taking hard hits on the chin for not being as efficient as it was advertised to be. Which does feel very valid. It doesn't seem to be... However, I put this info together based on 70mph range test efficiency numbers vs the cargo capacity of the car. It brings some things to light. For example... the 5-seater Gravity is equally efficient as the Model Y L when adjusting for cargo space. The Porsche Cayenne falls way down on that list... the Escalade IQ is a very similar cargo to Gravity, but also falls way lower... It doesn’t mean any car is better than another. But it does show Lucid's efficiency is not as bad as people may think off the cuff. @LucidMotors @Tesla @Rivian
