J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author.
She didn't.
She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women.
She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. She has funded legal fights to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak.
For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats.
She hasn't flinched once.
That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

Nobody ever has denied the climate has changed in the past. But never has it changed this fast.. when 10 000 years of relative climatic stability was the foundation of agriculture and human civilisations supporting over 8.3 billion people.
How the current climate shift will impact that state is what you should be analysing.
I’d rather scratch my eyes out than join that anti-environment party.

One must assume the vandal is indigenous -- or a tourist.
A permanent resident would not have the audacity -- would they?
So you want to shut down political opposition to globalism & mass immigration, and shut down freedom of speech. Got it Quentin.
Join the call for Australia’s media companies to stand together by refusing to cover One Nation events until the access issue is resolved. Media companies should be insisting that One Nation accepts the attendance of ALL accredited journalists, not just the ones it perceives as unquestioning or supportive. We need a robust liberal democracy ... not a Trumpian perversion.

No. No hope. Just slower deforestation & degradation. Lula will of course do nothing about population growth and embraces endless economic growth.
What a relief! Lula’s unexpected victory gives hope for the Amazon. He has dramatically cut felling, while Bolsonaro’s plans would doubtless have taken it past its tipping point, ensuring total eventual destruction with huge global consequences.

Fewer international students is precisely what is intended.
Sadly, most students come to get foot-in-door degrees & residency & NOT a skill-set that will make a difference at home.
A pernicious trade.
