To all Summorum Pontificum / Ad Petri Sedem Traditional Latin Mass pilgrims of this past weekend: Remember when St. Peter's Basilica hosted an Anglican Evensong (Vespers) service - with 'Cardinal' Roche?! It took place on March 13, 2017. More info here: novusordowatch.org/2022/08/c…

No surprise there: In his customary Angelus greetings, Leo XIV does NOT mention the Ad Petri Sedem TLM pilgrimage whom he denied entry into St. Peter's. Would have just added insult to injury, anyway. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

The false ecclesiology of Vatican II on display: Eastern Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I is labeled the successor of St. Andrew the Apostle, implying that he actually holds the see of Constantinople legitimately and validly. He does not. Bart is nothing in the Church founded by Christ, and does not rule any portion of His flock. youtube.com/watch?v=9Pm3jdkm…

This was a press briefing emailed to Journalists today Press release from Una Voce International on the Pilgrimage 'Ad Petri Sedem' 2026 Many members and supporters take part in the pilgrimage and we as an organisation are a member of the Caetus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum; we regard the annual pilgrimage as having great significance for the movement for the Traditional Mass. We would like to correct some misunderstandings which have arisen over the organisation of the pilgrimage this year. The authorities (through the Secretariat of State) declined the Coetus’ request for the celebration of Mass in St Peter’s, in August. At that point it was hoped and assumed that it would nevertheless be possible to have a collective devotion of some kind for the pilgrims, in St Peter’s, as happened in 2023 and 2024 when permission for Mass was refused. The August letter did not rule this out, so the Coetus requested it. This request was refused in a letter dated 30th September, which was however not received by the organisers until well into October. In the meantime permission was sought and gained for a Prelatial (Pontifical) Low Mass in St Mary Major. The Coetus was privileged to be allowed a Mass there on a Saturday, which is not normally allowed for pilgrim groups. A very reasonable time slot was allocated for this, and Mass ended at about 4:15, as would be expected. The Cardinal Archpriest, the sacristans, and the Basilica security were all very helpful, and we are very grateful to them. The Dominican priests whose role is to hear confessions in the Basilica made themselves available to the pilgrims. We are also grateful to the Lissom Grove choir and to the 1,500 pilgrims who filled this ancient Basilica. Joseph Shaw, President Monika Rheinschmitt, Treasurer Rome, Feast of Christ the King

Preaching at St. Mary Major Basilica in Rome for the Ad Petri Sedem pilgrimage, Kazakh auxiliary bishop Athanasius Schneider repeats the popular but incorrect claim that Pope St. Pius V "expressly established that ... his Apostolic Constitution *Quo Primum* could never be revoked in the future." advaticanum.com/article/full… Schneider's thesis is refuted here --> novusordowatch.org/2024/07/p…

The organisers of the Ad Petri Sedem Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage told me this evening that they were offered no alternative dates or possibilities to celebrate the Pontifical Mass today in St Peter's Basilica, neither in the August 7 letter from the Secretariat of State that denied them the possibility, nor in the weeks and months leading up to the Vatican's decision. They were simply told the basilica was unavailable. The Vatican also made no mention of any other events taking place at the same time in the basilica that could clash with the Mass.

Dear Michael Matt, it is precisely videos like this one that assure Leo XIV and his counterfeit hierarchy that excluding and penalizing you and your recognize-and-resist movement is the right decision. You have once again confirmed all their suspicions and reservations.
They were denied entry. They processed anyway. Faithful Catholics whose only “fault” is that they remain grateful to Pope Benedict for Summorum Pontificum, were denied entry into St. Peter’s Basilica, where they hoped to conclude their procession through the Pilgrim’s Door and recite the Credo over the bones of the first pope. They came anyway, and went as far as they could. God bless them and their loyal hearts.

This image is most likely not authentic but was AI-generated, says SuperGrok. Just clarifying. There's too much false information out there already.
Parole sagge…

To nip some fake news in the bud: Although it is true that the Traditional Latin Mass pilgrims today were barred from proceeding beyond the obelisk in St. Peter's Square, there was no "wall" built to keep them out. The barricade you see behind them is a fence that goes around the obelisk (one could simply walk around it). It is a screen set up for the building of the nativity scene, already in progress, that will be unveiled in early December.

Expect a few more Novus Ordo priests to join the Lefebvrists now. There's no point to the Vatican II Church. It's just a social club with bad liturgy.
#sumpon2026

The question is whether the semi-trads, who are obviously only trying to be good Catholics, will finally get the memo: Leo XIV and his cabal are enemies of the Faith, manifest non-Catholics, and are not valid holders of the offices they claim to hold!

LATEST: A few photos from today’s ‘Summorum Pontificum’ pilgrimage. Vatican and Italian security allowed pilgrims to enter the square as far as the obelisk, but as reported yesterday, the Vatican Secretariat of State barred the procession from entering St. Peter’s Basilica to pray at the tomb of St. Peter. I asked a Vatican security official what he thought of the group. He said: “Very beautiful and peaceful.”

REPORT | Pope Leo XIV will receive preventive immunotherapy with pembrolizumab for at least three years to reduce the risk of the cancer returning, journalist Mirticeli Medeiros (GloboNews) reports, citing Gemelli hospital sources. According to Estadão, no chemotherapy or radiotherapy. On Oct 21 the Holy See Press Office said no further therapy was needed. No Vatican comment on the report so far. Sources: G1, Estadão #LeoXIV

Wow - I guess they couldn't have asked for better press coverage...
We are truly the Church of the Risen Lord...if there are no borders or divisions among us; if we are able to dialogue and accept one another in the Church...and if, as Church, we become a welcoming and hospitable place for all. -Leo XIV

Replying to @MountainButorac
The Franciscan event was given as a pretext not to allow the Mass or the prayer at the tomb of St Peter for the following reasons: Firstly, we know that Leo had disclosed privately that he was reluctant to allow the pilgrims’ events because of criticism he had received about last year’s pilgrimage Mass in the basilica. Secondly, the Franciscan event wouldn’t have clashed with a morning Mass or prayer but it gave the Vatican a way out without having to explain the real reason why. Thirdly, the Pope and the Vatican had had since December to agree to the pilgrims’ request, ample time, if the Franciscan event had been planned long ago, to let them know of any scheduling clash. Instead that manufactured clash was only revealed at the end of September, over a month after the Secretariat of State had denied the Mass. The evidence that the Vatican simply wanted to block the Mass and prayer is therefore very clear.

Some theories are circulating online about the Latin Mass pilgrimage, spread by people unconnected with it. Some clarity below — Organisers asked for permission for the Vatican Mass, via a letter delivered directly to Pope Leo by Bishop Schneider in December. The pilgrimage is in its 15th year, and is always held on the same date. Organisers received no answer about the Mass until August, when the Secretariat of State replied to say they could not have Mass in the Vatican. Pilgrimage organisers then announced publicly that no Mass would take place in the Vatican. Instead, pilgrims would process into the Vatican at 1pm on the Saturday, and then go to St Mary Major for a 3pm Mass. Permission for the procession into the Vatican was granted in April 2026. Weeks after this, in September, St Peter’s announced an event taking place at 3:30pm at the Altar of the Chair (used by the pilgrimage last year for Mass). Then this week – just yesterday I am told – organisers received another letter from the Secretariat of State informing them they could not even process into the Vatican as planned, and as permitted since April. Basilica events are not the prerogative of the Secretariat but of the Archpriest & the Fabric of St Peter’s: hence why the Secretariat of State’s involvement is so strange. On Saturday, pilgrims walked through the streets up to the obelisk in St. Peter’s Square – accompanied by Italian state police – where they were stopped by the Vatican as this was the limit of the Italian police’s jurisdiction. Then they were informed that their usage of St Mary Major’s had changed: they could only be inside for an hour. Thus meaning that the planned and authorised pontifical solemn Mass would have to be a low Mass. Also St Mary Major’s informed pilgrimage that no official photos could be taken
