There are very few people I’d do this for. But it seems I’m on the train to London to join a very long overnight queue with my dear old Mum. Here comes a rolling thread about #TheQueue

We’ve barely had a flake of snow in Leeds, so it was lovely to come to Sheffield today and find this 😀

Received a gorgeous Christmas card from a couple my Mum and I met when queueing to see the Queen lying in state. Thanks so much Lucy and @OliverAngove - a lovely reminder of such an unforgettable 14 hours!

Her heroines are fascinating. Her characters were created over two centuries ago in a very different world and yet their emotions, passions and flaws are things we can all still identify with.

It was such fun making a list of quotes to paint – the hardest part was cutting the list down. And I love that through my prints, tea towels, cards and pins, people can bring a little bit of Jane Austen into their lives. Happy 250th birthday, Jane. Thanks for all the words 😊
