I keep telling myself I’ll remember to consider fatigue when the majority of our players are disappointing on the day but I keep forgetting. I think fatigue was a big factor in our 1st half performance today. So many away games this season. Aside from the Community Shield, Arsenal have played 16 games in all competitions. 10 of those have been away from home. In those 10 games, 4 were consecutively scheduled. Napoli, Sunderland, Ipswich, then the heavy Brighton defeat. Amongst those results, Arsenal have done exceptionally to grind out wins in games they didn’t win last season at traditionally tough away grounds. Villa 0-1 Arsenal Sunderland 0-2 Arsenal Forest 0-1 Arsenal Liverpool 0-1 Arsenal This is all just to say we need to be more understanding of our players.
