But this is what I lovedddd about us growing up and our community/culture. It was a moment in time. Just like the small Just Do It bags that hardly fit our books, fat ties, Tigger pouches, Kickers. It was a subculture of style. Those eras will never be replicated again lol
Looking back wearing JD string bags to school was actually insane.

One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
No one talks about how full-time jobs quietly erase your hobbies

this is what happens when ur definition of love is that its a feeling btw. love is an active verb. liking is a state of feeling. infatuation and desire is a state of feeling but love, more than anything else is a choice. ure not supposed to always “feel” the love +

I’m so impressed by my capacity. I have never ran outta love to give but I do run outta grace for those who prove they’re unworthy of it.

I don't want a side gig, I don't want to hustle, I don't want to start a business. My one normal job should be enough.
I actually would prefer things just become cheaper instead of everyone needing to make $100,000 to live a decent life.

I’m now the age my dad was when he had me, I am also earning substantially more than he was when he was that age. He woke up in his own home. I’ve just woken up to find out energy prices go up by £332 in July. Our futures are being destroyed.
Do you think young people are being priced out of adulthood?

The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses go on more side quests. You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.

What we are calling £100k tears & lifestyle creep is simply people perusing the rewards of progression through life: expanding their personal space, families, and comforts, in adulthood as they should be able to, and was the case for generations before them. We should all be mad.

Home clothes also have categories: Good enough to clean with Good enough to lounge in Good enough to go to the shops with
the way the concept of “home clothes” is foreign to some people is wild, what do you mean you don’t change into home clothes as soon as you come in from outside??

ive always been trying to convey this idea but never as succintly as this. we let capitalism pervade our perception of arts scenes we're too prone to calling people "failed rappers," "flops" etc instead of saluting someone brave enough to put their art into the world
Vince Staples says rappers get clowned for having one hit, but painters are celebrated for one masterpiece. 🎨💭 Why’s it different when it’s rap? 🤔
