OKC is one of the nation’s finest cities for public art, and we have two recent additions in MidTown, both privately funded. First is “Light and Airy” by Heavy. It’s at NW 10th & Walker. Second is “Formless Matter and Its Devastating Gestures” by Denise Duong and Gabriel Friedman. The latter will be on display through next April at Oklahoma Contemporary.

Recently, downtown Claremore came alive with color, creativity and community at Sunny Dayz Mural Fest. Artists transformed walls into works of art, adding even more vibrancy to one of Oklahoma’s great Route 66 communities. Events like this celebrate local talent and create new reasons for visitors to stop and experience all Claremore has to offer! #OKRoute66 #Route66Centennial #ImagineThat

Last week’s London Investment Mission was about showcasing Oklahoma to the world, and Tulsa Ballet helped do exactly that with their powerful “Made in America” London performances. While I was meeting with international businesses, Tulsa Ballet was highlighting the creativity, culture and talent that continue to put Oklahoma on the global map. It was a great reminder that economic development and the arts go hand in hand. Whether through business, tourism or world-class performances, Oklahoma is making an impact far beyond our borders.

It was great to be in Wellston this morning celebrating the ribbon cutting of the “You Are Here” push pin art installation as part of the Route 66 Public Art Trail. Projects like this are about more than beautification; they’re about revitalization. When we invest in our communities, we create destinations that attract visitors, support local businesses and drive real economic impact. Life begins at the off ramp! #OKRoute66 #Route66Centennial #ImagineThat

Only in Oklahoma. Tulsa's new musical road, our first for the state and the nation's first located on a bridge, is officially here. And yes, it plays "This Land Is Your Land." And yes, it is as cool as it sounds! I'm honored to be part of something this unique as we continue bringing Route 66 to life ahead of the Centennial. #OKRoute66 #Route66Centennial
