Old Laurentian RFC

R2E Week 14: Olney v Old Laurentians: After some good form @olneyrfc have lost 3 in a row including their last 2 at home but they did beat the visitors in a 70 pt thriller earlier this year. @OLRFC1 have lost 4 in a row but came within 2 pts of ending that run in their last game

Rugby often sits on its high horse about the values and how it is different to football but this sort of thing seems to be getting worse. As i've said many times #NoRefNoGame

R2E Week 9: Lutterworth v Old Laurentians: Defeat last week dropped @LuttsRFC to 3rd in the table so they will be determined to bounce back and they have won all 3 of their home matches so far with a BP. @OLRFC1 have won 2 of their last 3 games but lost all 3 on the road so far

Regional 2 East Midlands TOTM - 2 players survive from last month! Remember its just a bit of fun, others not selected by well have deserved to be in but only way I can do it is by apps and scorer stats sent to me

R2E Week 7: Kettering v Old Laurentians: 2 of @OfficialKRFC's 3 wins this season have come at home and the last time they lost here against their visitors was by just a point in 1998! @OLRFC1 will be looking to build on their 1st win of the season which they secured with a try BP

R2E Wek 6: Old Laurentians 34-11 Peterborough Lions: @OLRFC1 picked up a 1st win of the season at the 6th attempt and did it in style with a 2nd try BP at home in a row to move up to 10th. @pborolionsrfc couldn’t build on last weeks good performance and have now lost 6 in a row

R2E Week 6: Old Laurentians v Peterborough Lions: Although they have lost all 5 games so far @OLRFC1 have been much more competitive on their own patch whilst @pborolionsrfc have also lost all 5 but they came very close to getting their 1st win last weekend. A 1st league meeting

R2E Week 4: Old Laurentians 30-40 Olney: Sounds like a thoroughly entertaining game featuring plenty of attacking rugby. @olneyrfc have now won back to back games and move up to 7th whilst @OLRFC1 will have to be content with a 2nd try BP of the season despite a fourth defeat

R2E Week 3: Old Northamptonians 46-19 Old Laurentians: @OfficialONRFC flew out of the traps scoring 5 1st half tries including a hat-trick for Lochlan Brown for 36-0 at HT. This shook @OLRFC1 into action and they scored twice for 36-12 and a third in between 2 more ON’s tries

R2E Week 3: Old Northamptonians v Old Laurentians: This is the first league meeting as far as I can tell. @OfficialONRFC will have been very disappointed to come out of the derby last week with nothing whilst @OLRFC1 have lost both so far but not been outclassed in either game

R2E Week 2: Old Laurentians v Towcestrians: A league fixture last played in 1999-2000 season when I expect some of the Dad’s of this seasons teams probably locked horns! Back to back home games for @OLRFC1 whilst @TowcestriansRFC are fresh from a convincing try BP win v Kettering

R2E Week 1: Old Laurentians 12-29 Northampton Old Scouts: A game between 2 sides promoted from different leagues both looking for a positive start to the season. @OLRFC1 will be disappointed to come up short at home whilst @NOSRFC will be delighted to pick up the try BP victory

R2E Week 1: Old Laurentians v Northampton Old Scouts: These two last met in 2015-16 season with both sides winning 1 game each. @OLRFC1 won 9 of their last 12 games last season to secure promotion whilst @NOSRFC lost only 4 games all last campaign - all of which were on the road
