Another excellent day on the slopes with progress made by all. This evening brought a fun night of karaoke with performance levels impressively high & plenty of laughs! Everyone is now tucked up & resting, ready for all groups to venture to the top of the mountain tomorrow.

Earlier this week #PEACPLUS #ASPIRESharedEducation Ambassadors from @BanAcademyNews , @OLSNewry and @Abbey_CBS were welcomed to the Long Gallery at Stormont to speak in front of the @Education_NI Minister, @paulgivan , and a selection of MLAs during a special celebration event. Within their Shared Education partnership project, the young people explored themes of rights and social responsibility across local, national, and global contexts.

Congrats to our amazing Woodwind Ensemble, 1st Place at Newry Feis. The group won The Christopher Hughes Perpetual Cup & received fantastic feedback from the adjudicator. A special thank you to Mr Murphy our woodwind tutor for all his guidance & support in preparing the girls.
Our A2 Biologists visited @W5Belfast & had the opportunity to extract DNA from their cheek cells & use genetic engineering techniques to identify their genotype for the TAS2R38 taster gene.Thanks to the brilliant staff at W5 for facilitating an engaging & educational experience.
