@ola_supports @Olacabs This is an unacceptable and unfair practice! My daughter booked a Ola cab a few minutes ago. After accepting the booking, the driver called her and demanded 50% more than the fare displayed in the app**. When she refused to pay the extra amount, the driver asked her to cancel the ride. She asked him to cancel it instead, but he refused. Now, when my daughter tries to cancel the ride, she receives a message stating that she will be charged a ₹50 cancellation fee. I have attached the screenshot of the message. **Why should a customer be penalised for no fault of their own?** Ola must take responsibility for such incidents. Instead of penalising innocent customers, you should investigate the driver's conduct and take appropriate disciplinary action. Unfortunately, it appears that customers are held responsible while drivers who engage in such practices are allowed to get away with it. If required, I am willing to share my daughter's contact number via DM so that you can verify the facts and investigate this incident. Ola must stop penalising customers for refusing to pay unauthorised extra charges. Investigate this complaint, waive the ₹50 cancellation fee, and take appropriate action against the driver. Customers deserve fair treatment, transparency, and accountability from Ola.
