On the way home after a great meeting of the WABCG in Columbia. Cane and Beet growers from many countries. We all face similar issues and it was an honor to speak on behalf of Australian industry. @canegrowers @NationalFarmers
The new green deal facing EU farmers. I think they will be looking for agricultural products in the future. Very concerning for EU farmers. @NationalFarmers @galligan_dan @afsnsw
The Columbian industry produces 23mill ton cane 118tn cane per hectare and 2.3mill ton sugar. Very similar productivity to the Burdekin. #CBL #WABCG #Canegrowers
I am at the World association of Beet and Cane growers in Cali Colombia. They are also combining it with the 50th anniversary of their grower organization Procana.

Sugarcane farmers funded the construction of Queensland's bulk sugar terminals. We're not about to sit quietly back and see that legacy risked in any way. Read CANEGROWERS' statement on STL's recent in-sourcing announcement here: bit.ly/3JWO12o
Photos from the global sugar alliance meeting with participants from many countries looking to reduce the price distorting activities and tariffs to ensure a transparent world price. It was a very positive meeting with an open and respectful discussion.
This is me presenting to the #WABCG @CANEGROWERS in London about digital agriculture specifically BMP and blockchain technology. Great opportunity to bring cane and beet growers from over 20 countries to discuss challenges ahead. @MattKealley
