People are not upset that a young woman has done well. They are worried that the system that gave you that qualification is not the same system that existed twenty or thirty years ago.
Endless diversity and equality quotas, grade inflation, reduced entry standards, and institutional pressure to “close gaps” have all chipped away at public trust in academic awards. People look at a certificate now and wonder whether it reflects raw merit or a target on a spreadsheet.
That is not your fault. It is the fault of a political and managerial class that has turned education into a social engineering project. But it does mean that when you post your success, you are also bumping into huge anger out there on social media about how far standards have been quietly lowered to pamper to women and asylum seekers.
