Leaders raised concerns including livestock theft, drought, limited irrigation, inadequate markets and the need for greater investment in agro-processing and value addition. Brig Gen Muwanguzi called upon the new leadership to execute OWC’s mandate in line with the guidance of H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni and to position the institution as a model of effective service delivery and socio-economic transformation at community level. The transition was also an opportunity to recognise the contributions of outgoing leaders and reaffirm the importance of continuity. Discussions during the transition highlighted key priorities for the new structure, including addressing challenges such as drought, strengthening coordination in agricultural input delivery, and ensuring that Cabinet resolutions translate into practical interventions. Members also emphasised evidence-based monitoring, accurate reporting and physical verification of @GovUganda -supported projects so that OWC’s assessments reflect the realities and experiences of beneficiaries.
