A very sunny Hapa Zome session today, fortunately we have lots of shade in the woods. The children showed great teamwork as they created their own pieces by hammering the leaves and petals into fabric. #owpsforestschool @OWPSchool @OWPSturtles @OWPS_chameleons

It’s Red Nose Day tomorrow 🔴👃Just a reminder that children can wear non-uniform and/or something red. We will also be running stalls at break time and children can bring a maximum of £3 in to spend. See you tomorrow 😁

Success! We needed to run a total of 573 miles today. We actually ran 1102 miles! We nearly got to Berlin and back again! Huge congratulations to all the children, what a fantastic team effort.

Tomorrow is Sponsor Day 2024! Bolt to Berlin! We will attempt to run 573 miles on the Wistow Mile track to raise money for the school. Don't forget to wear your PE kit and a football shirt if you have one. We can do this Wistow!

Today we leant about a Japanese technique called Hapa Zome, which means ‘leaf dye’. We hammered leaves and petals into fabric to create our pictures. We also made necklaces, did some bark rubbing and made a seesaw! #owpsforestschool @OWPSchool @OWPSturtles @OWPS_chameleons

Tomorrow is an exciting day in school! It is Christmas Lunch, children can wear a Christmas outfit and the Elfridges Pop Up Shop will be open. Don't forget to send your child in with a named carrier bag and money to spend on Christmas presents for their family members.

Today we made a godseye each using the sticks we whittled last week. We weaved the wool round the sticks, it was a bit tricky at first but we soon got the hang of it! The children thought it was calming and relaxing! #owpsforestschool @OWPSchool @OWPSturtles @OWPS_chameleons
