The coordination layer for the machine economy. Offline networking, identity, and data on 350K+ devices in 140+ countries. No server. No permission.

Every machine waits for a signal. When it breaks, everything goes blind. We started Offline Protocol by keeping people connected when networks failed. Today, that same technology runs on hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide. Now we're taking it further: resilient coordination for physical systems. Machines, people and AI agents that keep working together over whatever path remains. Where we are today: → 350,000+ devices across 140+ countries → Nearly 20,000 new accounts in August alone → 11,500+ local networks active this month → 60,000+ SDK downloads → 440,000+ location proofs received in the last 30 days → Zero paid acquisition Earlier this year, we closed a new round led by @DraperVC to turn our consumer scale into a rapidly growing enterprise business. Over the past month, we've begun working with partners including a global wind-energy manufacturer, an agricultural IoT provider, a fleet telematics platform, a physical AI operating system, and a data streaming platform, alongside teams in aerospace and satellite systems, embedded silicon and consumer wearables. Our pipeline also spans maritime and industrial monitoring, equipment custody, secure device identity, airline catering and restaurant operations. Wherever machines operate, Offline Protocol coordinates. Learn more at offlineprotocol.com

Railway has disclosed a security incident, and out of caution, we're replacing every credential our services use. Since Railway's deploys are currently paused, some Offline Protocol services and features may be slow or unavailable, and you may be asked to sign in again once the rotation is complete. We're monitoring closely and will bring everything back as soon as possible. This is an important precaution to keep our users safe. Thanks for your patience.

Mad respect as always to @sxtvik, he is often early and right with these takes Which is why I’m proud to support @OfflineProtocol for a truly decentralized future, not a “sufficiently decentralized” one
With Farcaster's acquisition announcement, I can now share my message to the team earlier this year. I find it funny how different Balaji's aspirations for this platform are from mine. I always believed FC had a real opportunity to challenge Bluesky and Mastodon as a champion of decentralized communities and free speech. With all the posts I'm seeing from people getting immediately banned, I do not believe the new owners embody those values and interests. Rip Farcaster, I had higher hopes.

Been following @OfflineProtocol since my last post Their new site makes the idea much easier to picture Warehouse robots, Airport crews, Drones. All needing to coordinate when connections get patchy @sxtvik making a technical problem feel very real here

While covering protest at #jantarmantar , I used @OfflineProtocol to stay connected and send messages without internet access. When you’re reporting from the ground, even a quick message to a colleague or friend can make a difference. For journalists, students and anyone around a protest site where internet access is disrupted, it can be a useful way to stay in touch during uncertain times. #delhi #delhipolice #RahulGandhiNews #breakingnews‌ #protest #latest

One question we often received was, "Does Offline Protocol work for our industry?" So, we rebuilt the Offline Protocol homepage around a single living panorama, full of real workflows and live customer stories behind it: Airports, warehouses, EV chargers, wind and solar sites, drone fleets, venues, robots, field crews. Our learning from customer interactions is that physical operations don't happen in one app or one network. Ground crews hand off turnarounds. Warehouse systems share task progress. Field teams pull equipment history on site. Drones exchange mission updates. Offline Protocol gives those devices, apps and AI agents one coordination layer: identity, edge sync, encrypted messaging and nearby service calls across whichever local, mesh, gateway or cloud path is available. Less custom integration. Fewer cloud round trips. Faster answers where the work is. Explore our new website at offlineprotocol.com.

Communication is a right, not a privilege. But connectivity isn't always guaranteed. Networks go down from natural disasters, censorship, festivals, and in the crucial moments when people come together. During these times, we still need to reach out to each other for support, safety and information. That’s why we built Fernweh: private messaging that works with or without internet or cellular service. We will always stand for your right to stay connected. [Video credits, hi.kundani1ka on IG]

Very excited about this opportunity, and grateful for the validation this brings to the work our team has undertaken over the past year to improve our encryption standards and open source our core infrastructure. I've followed the work of @OctantApp via @arlery for a long time, and I'm always been in deep awe of the extremely important role they're playing in bringing funding and visibility to companies and projects that truly care about our future.
Honored to be in @OctantApp's Epoch 13 privacy cohort, alongside Tor, Session and many other impressive teams. We're building resilient, private, open-source infrastructure for native apps like Fernweh and for new use cases where phones, devices and AI agents find each other and share data directly. End-to-end encrypted, with internet or cloud paths optional. Allocate Oct 14–21 👇

Excited about all the progress at @OfflineProtocol. As physical AI continues to grow, keeping hardware connected anywhere, under any conditions, becomes even more important than it already is.
