Yesterday, Governor Hyacinth Alia claimed to have fixed ALL primary schools in Benue and recruited 9,700 teachers in the first tranche. But what does the reality on the ground say?
At Nyaka LGEA Primary School, Ukum LGA, 205 pupils learn in huts, with 5 staff and no classrooms, toilets, or potable water.
At Mbaikyura LGEA Primary School, Tarka LGA, dilapidated blocks, inadequate staff, and no basic facilities persist.
@benuestategovt, Benue children deserve more than claims. They deserve classrooms, teachers, and dignity. Governor Alia, what happened to these claims?

Engr @DaveUmahi and Gov @HyacinthAlia, Benue people deserve better!
The Adikpo–Ushongo–Ugbema Junction Road in Benue State has remained in a terrible condition for over two years, subjecting residents, commuters, and businesses to avoidable hardship.
This is unacceptable! How long must communities endure economic losses, difficult journeys, and poor access to essential services while this road remains neglected?
We call on the @FMWNIG and @benuestategovt to urgently inspect the road, and ensure immediate, effective rehabilitation.

And politics just goes on. I raised one like that to Gov. El-Rufai when he was governor of Kaduna state and he never did anything, not even acknowledging. Today he is not there. Power is transient. Do right while there is still time.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has said some Nigerians spend as much as 120 per cent of their income on food, forcing them to borrow money or rely on relatives to survive.
Oyedele spoke at Chatham House in London, where he said a government survey showed that food expenses exceeded the incomes of some households.
While I blame this on the governor because the bucks stop at his table, the biggest culprits here are the LG chairmen. They live with these people but the moment they are e/selected, they relocate to Abuja where they share monthly allocation and forget the people back home.
Tell them
A litre of fuel in Libya costs ₦32, while the minimum wage in the country is $208, which is roughly ₦276,000. In Saudi Arabia, a litre of fuel costs approximately ₦823, while the estimated monthly minimum wage is ₦1.4 million. Norway, another oil-producing country, provides its citizens with numerous benefits funded by the proceeds from its oil revenues. In Nigeria, however, the minimum wage is ₦70,000, while a litre of fuel costs between ₦1,300 and ₦1,900 in some places. That minimum wage amounts to a mere $52, a young chap flipping burgers at McDonald's in the US makes more than a Nigerian bank manager. Anyone earning ₦100,000 a month in Nigeria is still struggling to make ends meet and may be closer to the poverty line than their counterparts in these countries. But does the President care? How does he even sleep at night, knowing that millions of Nigerians are struggling to survive in a country blessed with abundant natural resources?

Governor Otti pulls off his shoe and says, “This is Aba Made.”
Proudly Aba! Many thought the shoe was foreign-made until they saw the words “Aba Naija Made” written on it.

We the governed must stay away from primordial sentiments and hold our leaders accountable. When you see something, say something. Instead of using social media to scroll endlessly through pictures of naked people, go around your locality, look at the key infrastructure that your
2/your leaders are meant to use the allocations and revenue they get to provide, where it’s not being provided, take pictures, do a small documentary and bring it to their attention through every available media. If we don’t get serious and take responsibility for our wellbeing,

It's actually the devaluation of the naira that has contributed a lot to the “trillions”.
If you compare FAAC payouts in 2005 and 2025 in dollars, the 2005 payout was higher.

Anambra Debt: I Stand by My Statement, Peter Obi Left $155m in Three Banks — Otti
In a piece I wrote over six years ago titled "Prudence Over Profligacy," I demonstrated, using the balance Peter Obi left in Anambra, that it is still possible to be prudent in government. As CEO of the bank at that time, I advised Peter Obi to leave the money in dollars, not naira. The Soludo administration’s allegations do not invalidate what I wrote nor the credit he left behind. If otherwise, the Anambra State Government should publish the debts.
Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State
