Updated list of my books, so far (thread)!
First:
Unburning Fame: Horses, Dragon, Beings of Smoke, and Other Indo-European Motifs in Ugarit and the Hebrew Bible (2017)
and
Drought, Death, and the Sun in Ugarit and Ancient Israel: A Philological and Comparative Study (2014)
Ugaritic word of the day.
špš (/šapšu/), "sun".
Also the name of the Ugaritic solar goddess, on whom I wrote my doctoral dissertation (or, well, it was one major focus of it), "Drought, Death, and the Sun in Ugarit and Ancient Israel".
The book, btw, is nowadays freely downloadable. Take a gander:

And btw, since I seem to be (somewhat unexpectedly) caught in a "WELL AI IS GOOD FOR SCHOLARSHIP" debate, let me be clear:
I do use AI on occasion, as people do. But for scholarship and writing my books and articles? Not on your life.

This shit has to stop. AI risks killing all attempts at meritocracy. People will get chaired professorships based on slop they never even wrote.
God, I love AppleScript. Such a cool language. Sure, a little clunky in certain ways (especially when interfacing with MS Word, the AppleScript commands of which seem to be created by a Martian), but generally, it's freaking awesome.
Also, I've just started learning AppleScriptObjC, the Cocoa/Objective C interface/framework for AppleScript, which expands the abilities of the language almost infinitely. Such cool stuff.
Pausing the debugging of this AppleScript program for tonight. My brain hurts.
But still, productive day: conferencing, hearing many cool talks, and giving a hopefully cool one myself, and writing the basic part of said program. Onwards and upwards!
