I’ve always said this Nigeria Schools are breeding oppressed and depressed graduates. Im sure they can’t even protest for this. So sad
Frustrated student of a popular private university calls out the management after locking a private restroom he and his 10 roommates renovated, while the school continues to ignore their request to install a lock on their room door 😭

We’re all acting like we don’t know that there is high chance the lady is saying the truth. But for the school to cover their shame they asked her to retract this while she’s not the person that posted it. Proper investigation is needed. Is it truth she paid such or not?
The Senate of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has expelled a final-year student of the institution, Miss Onyewuenyi Chiamaka Norah, over an academic misconduct matter. Recall that on September 18, during her sign-out, she granted an interview with a content creator known as Joker Black of PH. During the interview, when she was asked about her project, she reportedly stated that her supervisor was the person who wrote the project for her and that she paid ₦150,000 for the project, alongside other students. That statement later generated serious reactions, and the university has now taken disciplinary action. Personally, I see this as a necessary step towards protecting academic standards in our institution. Academic indiscipline has become a serious concern in our universities. Some students are no longer interested in attending classes, studying or putting in the work required to earn their degrees. At the end of the day, those of us who choose to work hard sometimes find ourselves competing with people who want shortcuts. Ignatius Ajuru University of Education is not just a place where we come to collect certificates. It is a citadel of learning that moulds, builds and gives direction to young people. Some of us have sacrificed, studied, written exams, defended projects and worked extremely hard to get our degrees. So when someone makes a statement that puts the integrity of the institution and the hard work of other students into question, it should concern us. And this is also why I have always warned students to be careful when granting interviews. Not every microphone deserves an answer. Not every camera should make you say everything that comes to your mind. Social media likes, views and virality can last for a few days, but the consequences of what you say publicly can follow you for years. As a student leader, there may be people who expect me to join efforts to intervene in this matter. I personally will not lobby against disciplinary action where the university has followed due process. I have no sympathy for academic dishonesty, because it is unfair to every student who has genuinely put in the work. However, I do not celebrate anyone's downfall either. I pray God shows her mercy, gives her strength to bear the consequences of this situation and helps her learn from it. Let this serve as a lesson to every student. Your degree should represent your work, your discipline and your character—not shortcuts. ~EOT~

Some supervisors would frustrate you if you’re acting like you know how to do your project yourself by rejecting it multiple times till you have no other options

The world is a place where everyone wants to be recognized and this can be frustrating and may lead to embarrassment. Rather than fighting to be recognized, focus on living a life of impact. Let your actions speak for you, and let the value you create become your recognition.
