Muhammad has a stronger messianic case than Jesus under the standards Christians use to claim fulfilment.
According to the Tanakh, the Messiah must descend from David, gather Israel’s exiles, restore the Temple and establish world peace.
Muhammad actually governed, united tribes and established religious law. His authority was political and tangible, rather than a kingdom declared invisible.
Gathering Israel becomes gathering believers in Christian apologetics. Muhammad gathered believers in the God of Abraham into a united religious community. Give him the same spiritual interpretation, and that requirement is fulfilled.
The Temple becomes Jesus’ body. Muhammad restored the Kaaba to monotheistic worship. His fulfilment involved an actual sanctuary dedicated to God, making it a closer physical parallel than a metaphorical temple.
World peace becomes spiritual peace through Jesus. Islam offers spiritual peace through submission to God. The same standard gives Muhammad the same fulfilment. Wars continuing cannot disqualify one while being irrelevant to the other. Islam is the religion of peace.
Paul writes, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed” (Galatians 3:29). Extend that same logic of spiritual ancestry to David, and Muhammad’s recognition of Jesus as the Messiah can likewise be used to claim Davidic spiritual descent.
Under those interpretive standards, I’m backing Muhammad. He has the spiritual claims, actual political authority and an actual sanctuary. His case deserves at least the generosity routinely given to Jesus.

Zechariah 8:23 states: Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
It prophesies a future time of restoration when people from all nations will seek out Jews to join them, drawn by the clear presence of God among the Jewish people.
