Time to jump on the trend too... This will be mine around the start of December, until some of my Guildford ones starting dropping off.
Now competent on our diesels! Lovely trip out for my assessment down to Yeovil Junction and back. When I started on the railway a couple of years ago, I never would have believed I’d be signing these.
First day of learning the diesels! Been a blast so far, 158885 becomes my first worked. Poor photo from my train home…
Been quiet recently, as a depot change means a lot of route learning! Passed my commercial course a couple of weeks ago, so can now do all the ticketing we do. Currently doing Basingstoke to Southampton, and it does have its perks!

London Paddington [PAD] ✅️
What a way to tick off a station, especially such a beautiful one as Paddington.
@125Group's The Journey Shrinker is my chariot today, with 43 025 + 43 159 to Cardiff Central via Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads. – at Paddington, London
Morning from Paddington! Off to Cardiff on the 125 Group ‘Journey Shrinker’, and its looking absolutely splendid.
As the sun rises in Dorking, my last day at Guildford comes towards its end. Been some of the very best years of my life, and I could not of had a better bunch of people to work with. Now onto a new depot as a commercial guard!

Just goes to show in this job it isn't always about opening and closing doors after last night on my last train back to Waterloo. I was checking tickets when I approched a lady when I asked her for her ticket I could just sense something wasn't quite right
Back to work today after a lovely few weeks off! My last week at Guildford before some big changes for me.
A busy hour this evening at Basingstoke today! Firstly had 800102 heading down to Eastleigh for crack repairs, secondly 66725 'Sunderland' hauling 92020 to Wembley after repairs, and lastly 93002/007 back again taking 180111 to Eastleigh.
That’s Berney Arms in the bag! Eight of us off in the end, which was a big surprise. Also had a lovely walk over to the windmill and the closed pub.
A quick day trip to Bordeaux today! To tick off something we’ve been wanting to do before they go. There are only 4 A318’s still in passenger service, and this flight to Paris had one, was a reasonable cost, and time!
Managed to catch the second of the ex EMR 180’s being hauled day to Eastleigh yesterday! It was the turn of 180109, with 93002/007 doing the honours.
