OCM Genesis Reinscribed with the Digital Rosetta Stone!
The iconic OCM Genesis has been reinscribed with the full Ordinals Protocol source code, transforming it into the Digital Rosetta Stone for Bitcoin art. This artifact fills an entire Bitcoin block (905026) and resides on a block 9, 450x sat with four cursed inscriptions, embodying unmatched provenance, scarcity, and conceptual depth.
The new milestone adds to OCM's list of innovative art:
1⃣OCM Genesis: Pioneered generative art collections on Bitcoin - the blueprint for others that followed.
2⃣OCM Dimensions: Revolutionized recursive art with inscribed code libraries (three.js and p5.js) for creators, plus the first immutable, evolving inscriptions and randomized reveals.
3⃣The Digital Rosetta Stone: Preserves the Ordinals protocol on Bitcoin, and now all inscriptions are completely on-chain!
This piece is more than conceptual art. It's infrastructure, history, self-reference, and preserves all Ordinals and Art on Bitcoin forever! 🔥🔥🔥

There’s few - if any - collections on Bitcoin with better provenance than OnChainMonkeys. OCM Genesis is the king of Firsts👑 Here’s a few:
🔸 First 10k images of a collection inscribed on Bitcoin: Inscription #20219.
🔸 First 10k collection to use Parent-Child Provenance.
🔸 First 10k cursed collection.
🔸 First 10k collection to officially migrate from Ethereum to Bitcoin.
🔸 First 10k collection to have multiple parents using Parent-Child Provenance.
A first they don’t have, is being the First 10k collection on Bitcoin🟧 One of my reservations for getting into OCM, has been the "noise" surrounding the 10k debacle.
I’m confident though, that OCM will embrace their massive list of provenances and Firsts, and continue building a community around the values of !RISE.

OCM Genesis #9296 has had an interesting journey - first purchased by a collector on Ethereum a few years ago, then teleburned to Bitcoin, then accidentally used to pay 0.2 BTC for a taproot wizard mint, passed through an exchange by the taproot wizard's team, and segregated by a sat hunter last year, where it sits today.

Sounds promising for tokenization. Good shoutout from CFTC @ChairmanSelig on Hernando de Soto. We worked with him on putting property rights on chain for Egypt in 2015. Too big and too early a project back then. Excited for what is finally happening now with tokenization!

Agreed. Do cool things. For OCM that's doing cool on-chain things. OnChain is in the name, and have been working to bring OCM even more OnChain over the years, including now. Will share more soon. On chain art is still just a small part of NFTs, and is growing.
I think the space needs to mature beyond speculation in NFTs
I don't think it should be the job of the project to create speculation
To take it a step further, I think projects went too far creating speculation that wasn't backed by their outputs
This is what started the slippery slope
We need to get back to
- do cool things
- your fans will find you
- long term value will accrue when # of fans >> # of available collectibles
