So, Is the Naira in Trouble?
NOT NECESSARILY. BUT THERE’S STILL WORK TO DO.
Even after October’s setback, the naira remains stronger than it was in July.
There’s also some positive news on economic growth. The World Bank projects that Nigeria’s economy will grow by 4.3% in 2026, compared with an estimated 4.0% in 2025.
However, economic growth doesn’t automatically translate into a stronger naira.

If the naira continues to weaken, imported goods could become more expensive, meaning your money might not stretch as far.
