Great to be part of the @CPhotoFestival .

I’m very pleased to have accepted an invitation to join the board of trustees of the Arts Charity at Dean Clough, who run the Dean Clough Art Gallery in Halifax, UK. “Dean Clough boasts one of the UK’s largest private galleries and a nationally acclaimed contemporary arts programme. It sustains a score of bursary studios, initiates festivals and performance events, supports several community and arts charities and enables a plethora of courses and educational initiatives…“ I look forward to being part of the team that plans to take this fantastic institution to new levels of achievement in its support and encouragement of engaged arts.

Excited to be exhibiting a small photo/video installation at the up coming @CPhotoFestival from the 16th October 2026 called Sacred Covenant. This festival is unique and is aimed at bringing photographers together to share their voices. There will be more than 140 photographers exhibiting 240 works, many of whom will be meeting up for the accompanying casual and fun networking. Check it out if you are in the Chester, UK, area.

I’m very much looking forward to being part of the festival jury for the 14th Chania Film Festival in Crete later this month and will be attending to run a workshop together with Iakovos Panagopoulos. Great island with wonderful people. @ChaniaFFestival

Just finished a lovely and enlightening meeting in Manchester with Long Hoang, co founder with Koh Terai of San Francisco based film AI company Martini.film, on whose platform I am doing some early stage development of a new feature film project. The world of generative AI is explosive at the moment and not to be ignored!

We finished off a wonderful Kalamata International Film Camp in the Taygetos mountains in Greece last night, organised and managed by the Peloponnese International Documentary Film Festival. Students completed 7 short documentaries working with subjects and communities in the small villages in the region, who were able to come to an atmospheric outdoor screening under the stars. The films were extremely well received. Congratulations to all involved.

My visit to Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) has been an extraordinarily welcoming and warm experience in which I have met the most amazing group of academics and students. A busy and engaging schedule of talks, workshops, community visits and development meetings have taken place over the last five days. I’m so happy to be working with the Department of Communication and Media for a further couple of years. Tonight was the last evening, having dinner with the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the Faculty Dean, the Head of Department, academic colleagues and students. The whole experience has been nothing short of amazing. Special thanks to @fariza_isa for making all this happen. Now on to Kuala Lumpur in the morning to spend four days meeting friends and flaneuring with my camera.

Day off today from my talks and workshops at UPSI. We visited the village of Kampung Menderang and were greeted with incredible warmth. I tasted durian for the first time: the fruit that my hotel bans because of its smell. But it tasted delicious. Inspirational to experience rural Malaysia.

An amazing day with a wonderful group of people.

What a wonderful welcoming party at KLIA in Kuala Lumpur when I arrived today for a series of talks and workshops at UPSI @upsi_malaysia . Dr Fariza Isa and her students and colleagues have made me so welcome. An incredible reception. Great to be back in Malaysia!

The second International Film Camp in Taygetos in Greece will be taking place for 10 days from the end of June 2026. It’s an all in emersive documentary filmmaking experience set in the beautiful Peloponnesus mountains near Kalamata. I’m very pleased to be contributing to the workshop with colleagues from Britain and Greece, including Becca Bond Iakovos Panagopoulos Mark Bond Luke Blazejewski and others. My film Reunion was first screened on Channel Four Television in the UK in 1995. We shot this on a mixture of Betacam SP and film and completed the post production on film. How far we have come technologically since then... The film is about spiritual mediumship and is a creative mixture of documentary and fiction.
