✨ Devotional — What If God Is Bigger Than Your Fear
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3
What if the fear you carry is smaller than the God who carries you.
What if the waiting was never wasted, but woven into your breakthrough.
What if the step you’re afraid to take is the one that makes you rise.
What if heaven is already opening the door —
and God is whispering, trust Me, I’m here.
There are moments when your heart whispers I want to run, yet your fear answers, but what if I fall.
Moments when you long to climb higher, but the wall in front of you feels taller than your faith.
Moments when trust feels fragile, and opening your heart feels risky.
But what if the fear isn’t the truth — only the barrier.
What if the very place where you feel weakest is the place where God is preparing to show His strength.
What if the waiting you’ve endured wasn’t punishment, but preparation.
What if the door you’ve been praying for is already turning on its hinges.
Sometimes the enemy doesn’t need chains — he only needs your doubts.
But God doesn’t ask you to be fearless.
He asks you to be willing.
Because faith isn’t the absence of fear — it’s the decision to move anyway.
What if the sea is about to part, and you’re standing one step away from the miracle.
What if the jump you’re afraid to take is the flight He designed for you.
What if the breakthrough you’ve begged for is waiting on the other side of a single prayer of faith.
God hears you.
God sees you.
God is not distant from your trembling.
He is near to the broken, the weary, the prodigal, the hesitant, the hopeful.
And He is bigger — infinitely bigger — than every “what if” your fear can imagine.
So today, lift your eyes.
Loosen your grip on the doubts that have held you.
Let your heart breathe again.
Ask the question heaven has been waiting for you to ask:
What if God really is who He says He is.
What if He’s already opening the door.
What if your miracle is closer than you think.

Good morning 🌞 🙏🕊️🌻🇺🇸
There are seasons when the weight we carry feels too heavy for our hands, too deep for our hearts. Yet Scripture reminds us again and again that we are never meant to carry these burdens alone.
Jesus calls to us,
*“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”* — **Matthew 11:28**
This is not a small invitation.
It is the doorway to peace.
When fear tightens the chest, His Word speaks:
*“Do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”* — **Isaiah 41:10**
When sorrow settles in quiet corners, He whispers:
*“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”* — **Psalm 34:18**
When guilt tries to linger, grace answers:
*“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”* — **Romans 8:1**
When responsibilities feel too heavy, He promises:
*“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.”* — **Psalm 55:22**
So we come — gently, honestly, wholeheartedly — laying each burden at His feet like stones we no longer wish to carry.
And as we release them, His peace rises:
*“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”* — **Isaiah 26:3**
His strength renews us:
*“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength… they will run and not grow weary.”* — **Isaiah 40:31**
His joy returns:
*“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”* — **Nehemiah 8:10**
Jesus does not simply take burdens —
He replaces them with **rest**,
with **renewal**,
with **the quiet courage to begin again**.
Today, let your heart settle into His promise:
*“My peace I give you… do not let your hearts be troubled.”* — **John 14:27**
Your burdens are safe at His feet.
And you are safe in His arms.
**Amen.**

This song is a reminder of bittersweet struggles and talent.
Lead guitarist Doug Hopkins wrote ‘Hey Jealousy’ in the late 1980’s about his ex-girlfriend as a a plea to win her back after their breakup caused by his drinking and cheating. Hopkins had severe alcohol issues and was fired by the Gin Blossoms. He watched from the sidelines as ‘Hey Jealousy’ became a hit. The song peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993 and reached #4 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Deeply depressed, Hopkins died by suicide on December 5, 1993, at age 32.

Beginning tonight, September 9, two towering beams of light will rise from the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, creating a dramatic tribute to the 25th anniversary of September 11. Known as The Honor Summit, the installation is inspired by the twin beams at Ground Zero and transforms the Northeast’s highest peak into a beacon of remembrance.
.
The beams will shine September 9, 10, 11 & 12, from 8 p.m. to midnight, extending roughly four and a half miles above Mount Washington’s 6,288-foot summit. In clear conditions, organizers estimate they could be visible from as far as 135 miles away, potentially reaching parts of Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts and beyond.
.
Created by Renee Plummer of the Granite Springs Foundation with support from New Hampshire and regional partners, The Honor Summit honors those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as well as first responders, veterans and others who serve their communities. Visitors are encouraged to view the lights from surrounding communities rather than driving to the summit, taking a moment to look up, remember and reflect.
